God, this thread is like off the tracks, rolling down a mountain side, and into a deep lake.

Damn Asian kids driving Japanese cars, listening to black music, trying to pick up white chicks.

You got it all wrong. It's Asians kids driving Beamers, Lexus and Benz, blasting techno music. But you got the white chicks right. :D

The funny thing is that a cease and desist order is meaningless......it will require a lawsuit.

People will always have beef with someone who doesn't know the way things work. There is a difference between mocking something, and knowing enough about something to make fun of it from a personal expierence standpoint.

I am a white. I listen to hip-hop almost exclusively. Hip-hop is supposed to be "black people's music", but the biggest rappers out there would do anything to get white teenage girls (98% percent of the people who watch MTV) to buy their albums.

Maybe I am just shaded from all the racial tension because I live in California. I have said it before, white boys in general get on my nerves when they try to act "gangsta" It is just stupid.

I do not wear Air Force Ones, Snoop Dogg Clothing, Cornrows, or Bandanas. I don't see some black kids hanging out and go up to them and shout out "WHAT UP PIMPS!"

Rappers get their videos on MTV... it was bound to happen. White kids from the suburbs start seeing Jay-Z as much as they see Korn. Now they want to be "iced-out" pimps and wife beaters who shoot people instead of angst-filled troublemakers. Now Justin Timberlake is jumping on the craze and is going Michael Jackson in reverse. You could argue that alll Eminem did was grow up in the same environment as the black kids from the "other side of the tracks." He adapted to the culture.

Where I live, the Ghetto is full of mexicans on welfare, blacks on welfare, and whites on welfare. In the ghetto... you're all the same because you all grow up together, race doesn't matter because you've been through what they've been through. In the suburbs... the place where every yard has a lawn, and you can't get into your neighborhood without knowing a 4 digit code. And its 95% white. These kids from the suburbs are trying to act like what they see on BET. They see 50 cent talk about shooting up ****. They see Nelly wearing a chain that would blind Hellen Keller all over again. They see Eminem talking about smacking his b**** around and threatening his mom. That isn't even close to hip hop.

99% of them never get the chance to hear Outkast make lyrical music... they don't listen to Nas paint a masterful story of what life was like in the hood. They can't understand why Talib Kweli would rather join Saddam than Bush.

It's easy to see why black people would be offended by this type of ****. Rapping was a way to pass the time, or lament your troubles... a sort of evolution of the blues. An escape from the world that just sucks the life out of you... day in and day out.

Now these rich kids want to be gangsters... not knowing that the kids who become gangsters do it because they wouldn't last a ****ing minute on the street without someone backing them up. The girls want to dress like whores, not realizing that a lot of women only dress like that to pay the bills. Can we really blame them? they are only trying to act like what they are viewing. They think... if they look that way and are on TV, then they must be cool.

Everybody listens to everybody else's music, hence the giant mushpot that we call pop culture today.

I love Monopoly, so from my perspective, you can't take this too seriously...

Is it demeaning and offensive, yes, but then don't buy it...I won't buy it, but think its interesting...
