I'm interested to know what you guys think:

Do we want as many people jumping on the bandwagon as possible?

    or

Do we say "If you weren't on it all season, then stay off it now.

A little respect is nice, but I don't want to be the next Miami Heat in terms of fan-fair that lasts a year or two because of a coupe of solid seasons.

    Your thoughts?

Not trying to be a d***. Why does it matter?

A little respect is nice. We don't get to define who is a fan and who isn't. I'm happy that people are finding out about us now. The more the better.

what?? why are we all of a sudden criticizing the "national" media for jumping on the bandwagon? The fact is we have a lot more people jumping on the bandwagon here in this bbs than anywhere else. Remember all those Adelman sucks posts? Lazy TMac posts? Alston is DLeague player posts? Shane < Rudy Gay posts? How about the numerous Trade TMac posts?

Yea, we should not be the one talking about bandwagons. Only people who has the right to complain about this are the Rockets players.

Oh yeah, that’s a GREAT idea. Let’s go back to the days of a half empty lower bowl at the TC. I much prefer the funeral-like atmosphere that existed before the streak than all these people making all that noise currently.

I have NEVER gotten off the bandwagon in the first place, but I have my fanaticism level spiked because of the recent play. I'm likely not the only one...

I would rather have more people on the bandwagon. It gives us more coverage.. hence helping out those of us that are overseas to see coverage of the team.

bandwagon fans happen everywhere and anytime teams start winning. Nothing that can be done about it.

Like someone mentioned, enjoy the fact that the TC is rocking at the home games!

The reason the Toyota Center is actually alive these days is because of the bandwagon fans. Is that a bad thing?

Who cares... As long as you know you are a true fan, and you know who the true fans are... Just be happy with the way things are going right now, and be done with it.

Well the city of Houston is full of bandwagoners when it comes to the Rockets, so there's not much we can do... I do want their help giving our arena more energy, though. That's for sure.

Yeah, we should tell casual fans that winning 19 games in a row is not something for them to be excited about.

Most fans start out as bandwagon fans. I have no issue with it and encourage the excitement to bring them into the fold.

The thing I DO have a problem with is people posting daily about how they are tired of bandwagon fans. Use the search function, guy.

You can't have it both ways. With success comes increased patronage. I'd rather have us win than have no bandwagon fans.

I think you should rename the thread "Get off OUR bandwagon!"

hold on. think about this for a second.

let's say it is not a figure of speech. Let's say a bandwagon really exists, and us diehards have been pulling it around town all year, often being laughed at. We'd be taking turns pulling, pushing, and sitting in the wagon serving beers and acting all silly.

Wouldn't we be yelling at the crowds of onlookers to jump on our bandwagon?
Wouldn't that be the whole point?

By god he's onto something! Yeah I agree I think you are bound to get new fans with a win streak such as the Houston Rockets is enjoying now.

Publicity for the Rockets is always good and from the Rockets perspective it brings in more money and more fans for future generations.
