I did not mean to equate Brown with Jackson but Brown has done remarkable work with what he had. Personally, I think Jackson is the man if you have great talent and need someone to fine tune it and keep it focused. Brown is the man if need to build a team or get a more dysfunctional team playing better. Also, Brown did win an NCAA championship with 1 player. It wasn't like a Pitino who had recuited talent 3x better than everyone else--Brown had to out coach everyone else to get that title.
While i like both candidates...i think the best fit is Dunleavy. Van Gundy = Eastern Conference Dunleavy = Western Conference
No coach in the NBA could have controlled the Blazers, so thats a weak strike against Dunleavy. Their simply misfits and the rockets are nowhere near that hard to coach.
Have the Rockets been coached? Has someone been sitting on the bench since Hakeem got the boot saying "dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, dribble, shoot" ? If they are easy to coach, we have not had very good coaching for a while. I hope the rox hire dunleavy. I really don't want to watch years of Knicks style offense.
Dunleavy had four horrendous seasons coaching a pretty talented Bucks teams. Last I checked those guys were in the Eastern Conference.
