First of all I will say that I think Steve Francis is an enormous talent and we should thank our lucky stars that he is in Rockets gear. However, he plays the point, and he has one of the worst assist to turnover ratios in the league!!! I really believe that we should do everything in our power to move Steve to the 2 and have a veteran point gaurd with playoff experience take over the position. When I think about the perfect candidate I think of Gary Payton. His contract is over at the end of this season and he should give the Rockets a hard look. Let's face it, the Bucks are going nowhere and he could get his chance for a title in a couple of years with Houston. The Rockets are the team of the future and he could really take a much needed leadership role on this team. He is a veteran, super defensively, can dish the ball, and score when he needs to. To me it is obvious if the Rockets are serious about making a very strong push in the playoffs and beyond next year, they need to pursue this. I am sure when this summer rolls around the Rockets will look at all available players that could improve their team. To obtain a player of this calibur it would have to take a sign and trade most likely. I guess I can dream, but you never know what could happen to this roster if the Rockets do not make the postseason this year. How much patience will the fans and Les have if no improvements are made? You cannot fill a new stadium with a lottery team.
So.....should we tell fatman exactly WHY his picture isn't showing up, or see if he can figure it out for himself?
