it's Lights out time. there. and damn he is sick against the cards. i knew he owned them but 4 hits in 79 AB? omg. and i agree, lidge was the most unhittable pitcher i have ever seen in last year's nlcs. the 3 innings he pitched before miceli gave up the homer in game 6 might've been the most dominant 3 innings i've ever seen. it was an effortless breeze through a devastating cardinals lineup. and that 8th was perfect. little stress, and now the bottom of the order.
I'd go with Burke's RBI to extend the lead...or better yet Oswalt getting the strikeout on Edmonds in the 6th. That was huge.
They can score a hundred runs... and if Lidge pitches the bottom of the 9th, he'll STILL get the save (per the MLB rules).
