Didn't see this posted anywhere yet. Just picked up the new Madden and it looks great. So far I've been getting my feel for the gameplay. My earliest complaint is the loading screen with Favre in it as a Packer. The minigames are tough too. Oh and the Texans are like the eighth worse team in the game. Its pretty frustrating playing with them. One cool thing is the create a team mode that reminds me a lot of All-Pro Football '08. If anyone has the PS3 version and wants to play, let me know. So has anyone else got it? What do you think about it?
XBOX here. Game takes some getting used to. Vikings are tough. Texans need a real RB. IGotThatChicken lets setup an online league message me or reply.
Great game...Im already in 2 online leagues, so I will join you fellas at a later date. Lots to do with Franchise, online ranked games, and now the leagues. Good times. Vikings are the team I play online ranked games with...I love their defense.
i'm not gonna buy it cause i have too many freaking games but it looks badass in the graphics department....
I bought it today (well 8-12) and its is pretty cool. I have it on PS3 but I suck so I won;t be playing anyone for a while.
Is the patch out? Right? I play NCAA for dynasty, against friends, online, etc... Madden I play for only 2 reasons. Franchise and mini games w friends. How is the franchise mode? I heard it had some problems but they seemed small to me. Any quirks like previous years? I hear Tebow comes in rated like 107 overall.
Got it for PS3...graphics are cool, but the My Level thing is a little weird...it adjusts to your skill but if you get a good running IQ, running the ball can be real frustrating The only real complaint I got is the commentating...Cris Collinsworth's commentary is actually real good but the other guy Tom Hammond seems so bland...and Collinsworth only talks about 40% of the time so you hear Hammond's crappy commentary most of the time
I actually really like the commentary. It's a nice change. Collinsworth does a great job, especially with the "BackTrack" feature he does a few time a game. I have to agree though with your "My Skills" statement. I performed very well running and throwing the ball in the "Madden Test" but it's very hard to get any semblance of a run game going once I play in a game. BTW, the Patriots are unbelievable in this game. They have like 15 different shotgun formations. I killed the Cowboys last night using the Patriots. Someone earlier noted that the Vikings D is pretty stout so I will have to play that game tonight.
I played one game last night and it seems pretty good so far. Head Coach seemed cool as well in the one half I coached.
I've only played one game so far- I played based off of my Madden IQ and beat Cincy 7-0 with Tennessee. The Titans have a solid D, but man, the Bengals seemed to really suck. Also, I like the Backtrack feature- I just don't feel like I agree with what Collinsworth says. Both times he broke down my INT's, and he was trying to convince me to throw to a wr who was covered even tighter than the guy I tried to throw to!
I finally gave in and bought Madden when it released. The last football game I played was Madden '05. I like that the game has gotten a lot harder, they used to be too easy before even on the hardest level. Now I'm having trouble winning a damn game on All-Madden mode. Granted I'm using the Texans against the Cowboys and only losing by a touchdown but damn it's so frustrating. Excellent game though, great graphics and the commentating is actually not bad to listen to.
thinking about getting this for my PS3. I wanted to wait, cause I'm a little strapped for cash but man. I want it so badly.
bought it yesterday for ps3 played 2 games last night online although it does lag a tad bit, its not as bad as the previous madden. the madden test in the beginning of the game is quite difficult and it kind of sets a tempo on how your going to be matched up against the cpu until you re-take it or just cancel it out completely. getting used to the game but so far so good, pretty addicting.
This is the first version of Madden that I consider next gen. All previous versions on the next gen consoles have lacked in some shape or form in major ways. I have this for 360. When I first played Madden on 360 this is what I imagined it would look and play like. Far better then previous versions.
