I hope you're right... Carpenter looks like Maddux, Glavine, Smoltz, Kevin Brown, and Sterling Hitchcock all rolled into one tonight.
Qualls time?!? I think Andy pitched well enough to win, but he needed a little more help from the man in blue than he got tongiht.
The sad part is that Carpenter has been rather vulnerable today. It does not look good that we only have 1 run on him so far.
We are hitting fly balls, and that is a good sign against Carpenter...we just need a few of them to fall in....we have had good swings....just have not capitalized yet....and Andy lost concentration on Grudz....he was so happy getting by Pujols and the others that he relaxed....too bad.... DD
Why is everybody giving Adam Everett the Jim Rome treatment and calling him Chris? He's not that wussified... Edit: I change my mind after that high throw...c'mon Chrissy
That Biggio lineout to left in the 4th broke my heart, but he hit that ball pretty hard... The balls will drop if we continue to make good contact.
I hope Andy's not telegraphing his move to the plate. That would be an absolute killer advantage for Eckstein right here.
