I've got my ex and her husband coming into town with my son this weekend. (We finally, through over 20,000 of lawyers fees, came to an understanding.) Believe it or not, my ex is actually being amicable, and has been for a couple of months, with a few burps. (ie. I put her in contempt before she started being "nice".) As I've told her, let bygones be bygones. It's all about a 5 1/2 year old child. So everything seems on the up and up. That said, they are planning on going to Galveston as a mini-vacation. I'm trying to find out good places to stay, go, party, eat, etc. If anyone knows of some good stuff, please reply. She'll be in town this Saturday Morning. Shanks.
Guidos is great for seafood, but pricey. Your kid would love the rainforest cafe. Fun atmosphere and good food. Moody Gardens is fun and good for families. Pretty cool aquarium. You should probably visit the strand, lots of neat little shops, and many historical buildings.
Believe it or not, Gaido's is under new management, and.. albeit still a great restaurant, it's not the same. Rainforest cafe was done in Minny and I was more impressed with the mall. Moody is awesome, but my son will be with me. Again, I'm trying to get my ex and her hubby a nice experience while they're here. I do appreciate the comments, though.
Maybe they should go to a church. It might rub off. Bishop's Palace, Trinity Episcopal are very nice. St. Mary's has some beautiful things. They could do that, then visit the Home Depot.
Ummmmm, Been here for 5 years and had my first booting for an inappropriate comment. All's good now, though.
