It all depends on who is staying next door (if anyone).

Typically, if I'm at a motel/hotel and my party is making too much noise, they ask me to keep it down. I've never been done up the ass for it. Have I just been lucky?

SS Galveston Motel on the east end of the seawall. The one shaped like a boat. It's a major dump but you can do whatever you want. Have fun...

That's a major dump, for sure. If you don't mind prostitutes, pimps, thugs and drug dealers walking around outside of your room, go for it. I wouldn't party there.

Galveston is kind of funny: one block is safe to be on, the next, scary. That's mostly north of Broadway around 39th, but there are pockets, like the boat motel that Meowgi refered to, that folks just steer clear of unless they really want some trouble.

When I read your post I immediately thought Giado's on the Seawall- it's not too bad, but not too nice, either, and I've partied there a few times without any incident.

Of course, that was during tourist season. Since you're in the down season and there are much fewer people, any place you go to will be more sensitive to noise, not to mention the cops will have less to deal with which will make 10 guys being rowdy interesting.

If you're looking to go out Saturday night, try the bars on Post Office between 20th and 21st (that's the Strand area). Lots of college-age people (and lots of women) in five bars on one block. My personal favorite is Molly's.

Man oh man. This takes me back. In high school, we'd always stay at the place called the Silver Sands. $15 a night, split 4 ways was even a budget we could afford, and we tore that place up.

I still recall this fat chick sitting on the sink in the bathroom. Sink falls to the ground, and water goes everywhere. We left shortly, thereafter.

Oh yeah, fake ID's rocked back then, too.

The Seahorse Inn located east on the seawall.

Partied there for prom back in the day.

    P.S.

    Don't use the comforters.

We partied hard in that place back in the day. It was always sleezy.

We once had a guy threaten to shoot us through the wall if we weren't quiet. We told him to F@#K Off and a few moments after that he kept his word and we had a bullet hole through the wall. We hid our stuff in a car outside and called the cops. Dude went to jail.

Yeah, in high school that's wehere we would stay. I spent the nigh there of my graduation ceremony after getting my first tattoo

Then we switched to SS Galveston. I mean come on, it was shaped like a boat. We would usually stay there for Mardi Gras, it has a big deck on the second floor right on top of the seawall. I saw crazy stuff there. I saw a guy literally run through the wall of one room into another.

Come on KingCheetah, we need your input.
