I like what I see so far about GMail. For vetern GMailers out there, is there a way to make new folders, or are labels it?

I don't think I understand fully the labels concept. You can mark a thread with different labels, which is nice, but the email is still in my inbox. How do I clean up my inbox (other than deleting)? Does all email reside there?

If you hit the archive button, the mail only appears in the "All Mail" folder.

They don't want you deleting email. How are they going to scan it for what you like or dislike and spam you with marketing afterwards? :)

No Folders, create "labels" instead and check the box next to the message, you then apply which ever label you want to it.
It stays in your inbox untill you hit the archive button, afterwhich it will be in that particular label archive....just like a folder but not.

PM? I thought it was disabled. I just tried to PM somebody just to try it and it said that, "Your administrator has disabled private messaging."

How are you guys doing it?

No, as bait. You know sell something and say in the listing "Free Gift" included with your purchase. The email them an invite. Free Gifts always help my eBay items sell.

It has 1gb of free storage space. It also provides a different way of looking at emails. Takes a bit to get used to, but I'm liking it more an more.

I found this for those of you don't know, it's a GMail notifier, letting you know when you got new emails. It sets in your system icon tray and pops a message that a new email arrived. It's only for Windows though =(

Okay, got ya. People sure like "free" stuff. Even if it is a little trinket or something.
