Here's an email that was forwarded to me... I thought I should post it to see what you guys think... Bible Beaters are on the prowl...
I get these type of emails all the time at work... I wonder if folks realize you're not suppose to send those out at work...
Where on earth do you work? It must not be a very professional setting if this crap can circulate with impunity. I work with quite a lot of folks of the Muslim faith and everyone here is respectful -- an email like this would be grounds for firing, IMO. I find it hard to believe intelligent Christians actually feel under attack from Obama, thus there is only one explanation: lack of intelligence.
Oh I work a very large company and trust me... If someone would take this to HR, it's automatic grounds for firing. Believe it or not... there's a lot of christians that feel under attack from Obama.... You should see some of the stuff that's out there...
Interesting variation on the typical "Obama is a closet Muslim" stuff that right wing nuts have been circulating for a while now. Unfortunately, this is not any different from stating that Obama is a "closet Muslims." If you send out an e-mail accusing Obama of canceling the "Christian" day of prayer and then allowing an evil Muslim (one who clearly believes in the annihilation of Christianity, which indicates that the sender is aware of the beliefs of his core audience) to say a prayer in an official venue, then you are pretty much accusing Obama of being a closet Muslim. If in a work setting, this should be taken to HR, no doubt about it.
Who would have thought that something as reliable as a chain e-mail would be so quickly discredited? What's next, are you going to tell me not to believe everything I hear on the Michael Berry show?
It really annoys me that people send out chain emails containing lies, because so many people take them as 100% truth. Can we track down these starters of false propaganda? Countdown to Rush Limbaugh reading this email then presenting it as fact.
Islam states that Christianity must be destroyed, who would of thought that Christians know more about my religon then I do?
A LOT of Christians I know go out of their way to feel persecuted. It's what keeps them going. Without the anger all they would have left to do is read that book of theirs and we all know they don't generally enjoy reading anything except chain emails.
