Felt pretty much the same way...that they were just like the old episodes...which is ok with me. There's a reason I keep watching the old episodes even though I've seen them all numerous times...except for 2. The 2 episodes that started at 8 last night, where they became fugitives...when did those air? Those are the only 2 I have never seen before. Were they part of one of the movies?
Haven't seen them yet but just a question: After Family Guy got pulled, they came back with more of a "we're random and we're going to be even more random and off the wall with obscure references because we want to see how far we can push Fox for effing with us" vibe. I couldn't watch many of the new episodes because they strayed from what drew me to FG in the first place. Is Futurama staying true to its roots and doing character stories (the Bee episode and the dog episode are CLASSICS) or does it seem like they're just trying to see how much they can get away with like FG?
Hard to tell, it's only been 2 episodes. But like others have said, it didn't seem much different from the old episodes. They made a pun about being on Comedy Central now.
second episode come off a bit like american dad. the writing/jokes seem to have somehow dumbed down. maybe they're working with a lower budget and can't be as intricate?
The 2nd episode (from what I remember) is about on par with bad old Futurama episodes. Still good compared to most things though. They did have a couple of played out jokes though. Like no one has made fun of CSI Miami enhancing images before? Seemed out of place for something that happened 1000 years ago. That, and I'm tired of Death Star/Star Wars jokes. But still, it was really similar to the old episodes. And the first one was hilarious.
As long as they don't reach Beast of a Billion Backs bad, then I'm completely fine with whatever the hell they do. And future episodes sound promising, like Leela leading an uprising with her fellow mutants against the surface dwellars. The first episode was pretty hilarious and classic Futurama with all the plot twists. Second wasn't anything special but had it's moments. Let's just be thankful they're back after all these years...even average Futurama is better than just about any other animated show on tv these days.
The final episode of Futurama is tonight on Comedy Central. I do have to say, this show got better and better with time. I know how popular it is to say that only the first season of a show is it's best. I'm certainly going to miss it.
I'll miss it. Futurama is one of the few shows that almost brought tears to my eye. What am I saying Jurassic bark is one of the saddest things I've ever seen, to this date its hard for me to watch it. Spoiler for language Spoiler

Came on the other day, and we turned it off. Definitely worth one watch. Once you've seen the whole thing, you can't help by cry through the entire episode any time you watch it again.
Watched the Fan Top 10 marathon they did a couple of weekends ago. Jurrasic Bark was #1. I cried. IMHO, Futurama is the best cartoon series of all time.
