1.Kenyon Martin 2.Scoonie Penn 3.Quentin Richardson 4.Mark Madsen 5.Troy Murphy 6.Courtney Alexander 7.Chris Mihm 8.DerMarr Johnson 9.Morris Peterson 10.Mateen Cleaves 11.Jason Collier 12.Loren Woods 13.Marcus Fizer 14.Hanno Mottola 15.Mike Miller 16.Stromile Swift 17.Harold Arceneaux 18.Pete Mickael 19.Ed Cota 20.Michael Redd 21.Chris Porter 22.Eduardo Najera 23.Eddie House 24.Pepe Sanchez 25.Desmond Mason 26.Matt Santangelo 27.A.J. Guyton 28.Johnny Hemsley 29.Mamadou N'Diaye These picks are based on what expurts have said about eech player's potentchal and alot of them are underclassmin who are considerd to be entering the draft. Notis Tarens Moreus is not thier as he told his muther he is staying at Merryland. And Brendan Heywood in my opinyun will stay since his stock has dropped a bit. Looks like a pritty good draft to me. Evin in the late furst round thier our some good players. Usuly late first-rowndurs don't amownt to much, but these guys have a chance in my opinyun to make it in the NBA. I went ahead and put DeMar Jonsun in thier bekause I thank he iz going to enter tha draft wen itz al said and dun.
Mr. Onomatopoeia, Where'd you get this list? I don't know much about college bball, but I do know it'll be a 05% humidity day in Houston before Scoonie Penn is drafted #2.
francis3, is it me, or do IU players generally not play well in the pros (isiah and henderson notwithstanding) ? IU players just don't seem very athletic but they usually are fundamentally sound. Does guyton play the same position as calbert cheaney ? something tells me that he will have a similar career as calbert, just my opinion. Also, Penn at #2 ? Man, is he that good ? ------------------ "Don't they get cable in Canada ?" Keith olbermann, after watching hakeem block terry catledge's shot 5 times.
They dont have great careers. Pretty solid players but Guyton has alot of talent. He plays sg like iverson. He is like a iverson type player the way he plays. I dont know if he will be a sg or pg. But something tells me if he is a pg, he wont have a good career.
Hoo said Barklee was enturing tha draft? Heez only a sofmoore u know. Eye must have forgot about Muglore. Scoony Pin iz a hot cummodity rite know, so eye sea him mooving way up. He wuz at about 5-6 befour but know is gitting higher. [This message has been edited by SooneRockStro (edited March 04, 2000).]
dick, exactamundo... we should be the team to steal Chris Porter (after the NCAA ripped him off... and immediately afterwards lets Barkley back in?!?) If the Pistons give us their pick (14-17) we snag him there if he's still around, otherwise trade drew for a comparable pick.
your forgetting that duke is the #4 team in the country and have an excellent player in chris carrawell. carrawell could go in the early to late 20s cota will go alot higher than #19 i think maybe 13-16 stromile swift at #16? HA! yah right houston will be laughing their asses of if he is even around in their lottery pick. he will go #8 at the LATEST. murphy and Q richardson r likely to stay in school i know for a fact murphy is a 90% chance to stay in school, Q has a cousin that was forced to enter the NBA draft early and depaul has such a good nucleus i would not be surprised to see him stay. scoonie penn is too high he will go proly at # 5-10 madsen is awful high too. other than those complaints id say not bad for a 1st mock draft. ------------------ --TEX
There are so many players out there that are good that it's hard to say right now where they will go and hard to remember every single one. I can't believe I forgot about Carrawell though. He's a good player.
Whoa...this is one messed up mock. Soone, I don't think you watch enough of the "other" players. ------------------ The Mall Kid is Back! The best draft source yet, www.draftsource.net
hey no fair rf34, you got a hit off of me on your website, and you don't even have anything up there but a default.htm
RF34, I see you are getting serious with your web site. Mango [This message has been edited by Mango (edited March 04, 2000).]
Yo, Joe Joe, I agree. Porter has to go higher than 21st. 15 sounds reasonable, maybe as high as 12. I also like Barkley, but think hey could go in the late first to early second if he enters the draft. ------------------ The key for the Rockets is a winning attitude and mentality which can only be had by winning basketball games.
Mango, I know. He gave me a id and pw. However when I tried to log on through ftp, apparently my pw don't work. I'll ask him when he goes to work on Monday... I'm pretty serious cuz I might as well share the knowledge I know after wasting a lot of time watching college b-ball. I have no social life if you haven't noticed . You guys should of seen UCLA/Standford game, that was a thriller. Anyways, I think we better start start talking about the main point of the thread. Don't want to waste server space. Soone, just some observations : 1. No way Madsen would go that high. He's mid first to late first. Heart can only take you so far. 2. Penn shouldn't go that high either. 3. If dermarr comes out, he goes top 5. 4. No way in hell Mimh goes that low, big men always go first. Refer back to number 2. 5. Troy Murphy will stay, take him out. Barkley and Joel(7'0 Minn center) will come out, where are they?
