    Current Pitchers on Roster

    1. Pedro Martinez
    2. Julian Tavarez
    3. Mike Hampton
    4. Darryl Kile
    5. Shawn Estes
    6. Dustin Hermanson
    7. James Baldwin (Injured)
    8. David Weathers

Question: Kris Benson was just recently waived in my league due to uncertainty regarding the severity of his elbow injury. While it is still possible that he may end up needing surgery to correct the problem, he has begun a soft-toss program with Pirates' pitching coaches and hopes to be able to pitch as soon as possible. Is Benson worth waiving a pither at this moment in time? If not, then I have a surplus of outfielders and one of them could be waived (Payton or Van Der Wal). What would you do?

Question #2: I currently have Bill Mueller as a backup at 3B. Should I waive him and pick up Chris Stynes even though he is on the shelf for a couple of weeks. Stynes was just waived and I passed up my chance to draft him when I wanted him. Opinions?

Pass on Benson. This injury probably will affect him all year. If you really want pitching, list some guys on your waiver wire. I will glad to offer my opinions. Does anyone in your league have Shane Reynolds? If not grab him. Another guy to grab, if available, is Jeff Fassero (listed under Starters, but is relieving)

Keep Mueller, he should put up better numbers than Stynes.
