No thread? Monday night football, you guys are slipping Watching the game and wondering... ...who was the best QB to ever come out of Florida state?
God this game is brutal. Two great defenses and two anemic offenses. Looks like last year's 10-7 score is all we can hope for at this rate. As for Florida State's best QB, I can't think of any that really excelled in the NFL. Charlie Ward and Chris Weinke both won Heisman's so I guess they probably get consideration unless I'm forgetting someone.
The other question I have for you is... ... are you watching the game on ESPN or ESPN2 or one of their other 20 options? ESPN360.com online?
I've never liked the CrimiNoles. Edit: Xavier Lee would be starting for UT-Austin. Instead he rides the pine and brings Drew his helemt. Thats the curse of saying no to Mack Brown.
For your halftime entertainment I present Miami's game highlights in the Peach Bowl... <object width="425" height="350"><param name="movie" value="http://www.youtube.com/v/jrzlB6eIITk"></param><embed src="http://www.youtube.com/v/jrzlB6eIITk" type="application/x-shockwave-flash" width="425" height="350"></embed></object>
Did someone say girls... btw, this game is kinda boring...that's probably why there wasn't a thread, IMHO...
Is it just me, or did the replays really hurt the presentation of the game? There is no need to review to see whether a guy stepped out on the 2 before he scored. More than likely they are going to score on that possession anyway being that close. They really need to limit those reviews.
I kinda disagree. In a game with two extremely stout defenses, it's no guarantee a team will be able to punch it in the endzone rather than having to settle for 3 points. As evidenced by the score, there weren't many points to go around in this game, either. I'm always of the opinion that I'd rather the right call be made, no matter how long it takes. Yes, it can drag at times, but I don't feel you can put a "cost" on the correct call being made.
