The best website on the web.

    www.projectorcentral.com

Its a good time to buy since you can now get a 1080p projector now for less than 2K. Remember with a front projector, the room is more important than the projector. A 10K projector will still look bad in a room with a lot of ambient light and a poor screen.

One good place to learn about front projectors is AVSForum.com. It's a great forum with a lot of information. Go to their Display Devices section and from there you can see different subsections for front projectors depending on your budget: http://www.avsforum.com/avs-vb/forumdisplay.php?f=9.

I have an old school Infocus 4805 and a fixed 96" screen. I'm waiting for the Infocus to die before I upgrade to a 1080p projector.
