I just like to begin by saying this is my first post in this BBS, but I have been reading the posts for @ 2 1/2 years and its great to be part of the best fan site on the web.

    Now to my post,
By now everyone has heard the bad news on Hakeem. Is there any body out there that maybe the Rockets can sign for the remainder of the season to help them in the front court? Nobody can replace Hakeem, but maybe he can give the Rockets some minutes of defense/rebounds and an extra 6 fouls to give.

To bad that Pig miller already flew to Philly a couple of days ago.

Welcome to the club, rocketsfan. Hard to believe that name wasn't taken!

Amen on Pig. He would have been a nice addition. Chucky Brown could have helped some. I don't know that anyone we picked up could help much. Responsibility's gonna fall on Mo, Cato, KT, and Rogers for the most part. As far as a roster-filler, what about Tyrone Washington? Pete Chilcutt? There's really not much out there.

Maybe we can pull The Legend, Charles Jones out from the woodworks ;-)

    Welcome rocketsfan,
At this point,I would hope that Cato and Rogers will be asked to shoulder the minutes.I'm not really sure who they would bring in,but with the good chemistry and the need for Carlos to play more anyway,I don't see where Rudy would expand the rotation.I guess it couldn't hurt to have a body at the end of the bench, but, anyone we picked up now, would be just that,a body....

If he can, expect Bullard to come off IR in Dream's place. The Rox will also probably sign Colson for the rest of the year.

Yeah, I guess there really isn't anybody out there who can really help the Rockets right now. I tend to try and look at the good side of things, if there is one, and maybe Hakeem being out for the remainder of the season (hopefully not career) will give Cato the playing time he needs to mature maybe not offensively , but defensively. The Rockets really need his defense and rebounding now more than ever if they are to make the playoffs.

I like Cato, but this could really be his last chance to make a contribution to the Rockets or most likely he will be traded in the off-season.

And while we're at it, let's get Mr. Mean, too. [IMG]
