I'm glad to hear some positive thoughts coming out of billy's mouth. Hes good allright, all he needs is some adjustment and lower his turnover ratio.

He is talking about JVG here. Note how he says besides "him" not "it" hides something big.

I believe it is translated from Greek. I wouldn't read too much into this. Something could be lost (or added) in the traslation.

That was a mistake in the translation, he actually wrote "behind it", elenp also corrected it before. There:

I have problems reading greek but I am gonna see my cousin in an hour or so and he can proof read it. The problem is finding certain english words/phrases to explain what he is saying because if you go word for word it makes no sense.

Not very easy to read. But still thanks for the translation.

It's good to know that V-SPAN still has patience, which is what he needs right now. And he seems more active in the team now, that is the right attitude. I'm sure he will be rewarded with playing time.

The thing about translations is that it tends to lean towards the translators "interpretations" of what is being said. None the less... Thanks for the effort.

Sorry again for the translation which isn't the best, but as I said, my English isn't excellent and with the Babelfish translator I tried to translate it.

That's why I said that If is someone from Greek and know English very well to help me.

That is what I want though, someone to translate what he said.

The First post seemed very Babelfish....and did not flow...and now elenp confirmed that is the case.

I would like someone that speaks both languages to translate and interpet the blog.

    Please.

Is your cousin a Rocket fan? Can you "draft" him to translate some other VSpan's comments in Greek for us? :D

Here's my translation of the blog. I've done a few before in other threads. I'm a native english and greek speaker (full greek, live in greece, grew up there but went to an american school there and spent 7 years studying in london)

"I'm sure that some of you are wondering where I've disappeared to all this time! I'm here! Exactly where you found me last time. In houston and in this blog, which only brings me joy, since with it and the e-mails you send me, you show me your love and support.

I know that during this time, a lot of things have been written about me. Some of it is true, some of it has been exaggerated and some are completely unreal. You should know that I'm well, having a super time in Houston and all I miss right now is the game, since as you know I don't get much playing time with the Rockets. That too will be improved sometime.

    With patience, everything happens.

People in Houston love me and show it everyday. The fans, the Greek people I've met with some of which I hang out, my teammates, the Rockets staff. I have no complaints. In the months I've been in the US, I've tried to adjust and right now I believe I've accomplished it 100%. I'm not only referring to the game part, where I finally know exactly what I'm supposed to do in the court, but also to the american way of life which is very different than the one in Greece.

Playing little to none does not bother me anymore. I'm a strong person and I've philosophised it while talking to myself."
(TRANSLATOR'S NOTE: This is an exact translation. Read it as something like: "I've thought hard about it and accepted it"). "A small obstacle shouldnt be able to bring you down. On the contrary, something big awaits you once you overcome it and that thing will come one day. The point is not to get stuck on one problem but look beyond it and that is how I function in life. Some things are just god's will! That's why I'm saying that everything has been super in Houston recently. The only negative thing is that I'd like to play more but that's not irrational, just something anyone in my position would want...

I want to thank you very much for all your e-mails. The people here at SPORT24 make sure I get them regularly and I read them with great joy because they're honest and show your love for me. One of these days I'm gonna try to shed some light into my relationship with my coach because a few things have been misinterpreted and that's not right. We'll be in touch in another blog entry. Until then, be well. I, however, being away from greece have to try hard to be well. And I've managed it...

    Vassilis"

I personally think that the last paragraph with the comment about his relationship with JVG is the most interesting. Can't wait till he DOES shed some light on it..

Thanks to everyone for helping us non Greek speaking Americans out.
