Don't know if you're the bright type, but deported to where? They were born and raised in France, it's the only place they know. The undertone of your statement is either due to your ignorance of the facts or can only be viewed as a bigoted statement. It's similar to saying "If Blacks don't like it, they should go back to Africa", with the implication being that they are NOT "American" or at least "authentic" Americans -- rhetoric that was common until recently in our country's history.

Learn about what you are talking about and then comment, don't just depend on your misconceptions to feed your ignorance.

    really? but it worked.

Prime Minister Dominique de Villepin reached out to heavily immigrant suburbs where the rioting began, tacitly acknowledging that France has failed to live up to its egalitarian ideals.
    ...
Discrimination is a "daily and repeated" reality in tough suburbs, feeding the frustration of youths made to feel that they don't belong in France, he said.

"We must be lucid: The Republic is at a moment of truth," Villepin said at an impassioned parliamentary debate today where lawmakers also spoke frankly about France's failings.

"The effectiveness of our integration model is in question," the prime minister said. He called the riots "a warning" and "an appeal."

the prime minister is addressing the issue. they're coming up with proposals. how can you say its shooting themselves in the foot?

I'm curious to know why you think writing to a representative/media or having a peaceful demonstration would have done the Iraqi insurgents any good as their country was being invaded and occupied.

Where exactly do you plan on deporting them? You do realize they were born in France, right?

I'm also curious to know what level of Arab/African descent representation is held in France's national government. It may actually be pretty good - I have no idea and would genuinely like to hear if anyone knows.

As far as Blacks in the US and Palestinians, they've got little to no representation in government or media. But even though a minority here himself, I guess Hydra has gotten a little spoiled with his 14 senators and dominated media backing him up at every turn. Hydra, do you think the Blacks in Houston should have just walked out of town in advance of Hurricane Rita too like you had proposed for the New Orleans Blacks? Should the French Blacks just hop on Bordeaux wine barrels and float to Madagascar?

You're the kind of person that labels someone who criticizes Israeli policy to be an Anti-Semite.

    I can't stand the whole PC b.s. - give it a break.

Right - just like when Bush said that Muslims were people too after 9/11 that did a good job in stopping violence and discrimination against them. The words of a Prime Minister doesn't control the minds and hearts of a nation - not compared to the images off people setting things on fire.

Actually, I label someone who criticizes Israeli policy to be "dead on."

Get off your high horse, you clownshoe. France should deport these ingrates into the Mediterranean. Happy? Or send them to your home in the projects. You could show them how you earned your GED in prison and the vocation that you plied to earn cigarettes.

I'm sure the French are clever enough to draft something to strip citizenship based on "inciting violence and rioting" or "rejection of French culture".

they already live in the projects.

and would you rather have people in prison not earn GEDs?

I agree, Corsica is a fabulous destination idea. Those Moors will not only get to eat cake, they will get some sun and sand as well!

So you can dish it out - but when it comes the other way you pull the "you must be a bigot card" just like Israelis and Jews?

Guess you have more in common with those you criticize then you realize.

I wouldn't know how to react to that scenario.

So wait, if they get their citizenship stripped, what country are they citizens of? Can they get stuck in airports like Tom Hanks in the Terminal? Or better yet get stuck in the Chunnel when they find out their citizenship got stripped. Not to mention post getting their citizenship stripped how do you deport them? Traditionally you deport them to the country they are citizens of and considering they are citizens of no nation your idea of sending them off to the Mediterranean doesn't sound so bad. Wait never mind that doesnt work because that would be in the 200 mile economic exclusive zone of the surrounding European countries. You'd have to dump them in the middle of the Atlantic Ocean where there are international waters.

Last I checked, a critique on Zionism and Israeli policy wasn't analogous to insulting or generalizing Jews and Judaism.

    Good try though.

Then they shall all be shipped to the Isle of Atlantis! Done.

Next order of business, where to send any and all half French - half Arabs/Blacks. Methinks a grand proposal would be to roast them in the searing summer heat of Provence for 69 days. Any that develop melanoma will be allowed to stay and the balance shall be shipped to Atlantis, sans cake of course.
