anyone know a freeware program I could download to convert .aif files into .wav files?

or even a program I could pay for and download? there's bound to be something out there that will convert .aif files, but neither of my conversion programs will do it [musicmatch, windows media encoder]. . .

I'm not sure that it still does, but the shareware version of Goldwave used to do this. Technicaly it's not really 'free' in the same sense that winzip isn't free, but you'll never know the difference.

Try Cool Edit. It's an excellent program, and its shareware. Once you start playing with it, you'll probably end up buying it though.

It's not expensive and definitely worth it.
