Nice run down BimaThug. But pro-atheletes ALWAYS go for the money. So it seems like a long shot that Bibby would give away $8M.

...and there is no trade that we could put together to get him. Juwan + Rafer for Bibby? Please. Lets say we do that, then Chuck is our only PF.

I can't imagine any parelell universe in which Mike Bibby lands in Houston.

I dont think Bibbers is gonna pass up his current 2 year 30 million deal with the kings for a 4-5 year 28 million deal with the rox.... sigh... if only juwan would take a pay cut

we have a better chance of trading yao and t-mac than bibby opting out his final year. there's a reason why the kings suck now. it's because they paid bibby a gazillion dollars and made him their franchise player. he's gonna milk sacramento for every cent they have, then the next year he'll join a contending team.

I think Howard+Skip+Sura matches Bibby's salary, but they will never go for that.

I'd give up Battier + Rafer + Sura for Bibby and then use part of our MLE on James Posey to replace Battier; another part of MLE for Atkins. we also need to consider trade T-Mac while he still "looks" healthy; maybe T-Mac for Ray Allen + Nick Collison?

    Yao Ming, Collison, Mutombo
    C. Hayes, Howard, 1st pick
    J. Posey, Snyder, Novak
    R. Allen, Head, V-Span
    M. Bibby, Atkins, JL3

Why Sura's name keeps popping up. I thought he is NBA-dead already.

Don't worry. Daryl Morey will compute EXACTLY how little the difference in money will be. Once "Deep Blue" has a chance to explain the precise numbers to Bibby, the choice will be clear:

A chance to be a major part of a championship team

    OR

    $6,723,412.72. Exactly.

Man, only 6.7M for a remote chance at a championship. Sign me up!
