Lin has the ability to score.
But he doesn't have to produce something like 18+pts on daily basis because we have Harden and other weapons.

The good thing about Lin is that he can score when the team need him to (Spur game). And he won't chuck up shots when he doesn't feel it. He is more than willing to create for others when his teammates are on fire.

As Tony Parker said, the key is to figure out the balance between scoring and creating. Once Lin can control that switch, he will be able to perform well consistently.

Lin is a second year player,he is not Rose/Rondo/Nash. Of course not. he can't suddenly become experienced..
it's too early to say where he will end up. fans should take a step back, give him some space, and see how he develops.
Lin's a hard worker. I hope he can keep improving himself.

True, very true. In my opinion Lin has the scoring ability of Rose with the playmaking ability of Rondo/Nash. Of course, he hasn't shown it yet, and he is still developing, but I think that it should be obvious that he has extraordinary skills that equal or surpass many of the top lottery picks of past NBA drafts. He might not be an all-star this year, but certainly next year he will be. Book it.

its not early its clear that he'll end up cose or even better than them...he's already close to them and if those guy were forced to position of spotup shooter like lin was most of this season they would have worse stats from him...

I think the Lin you've seen over the last 3 games will be the Lin you see for the rest of the year. He's play isn't point, penetrate and dish. Works well with harden.

I'm guessing Lin is a 20-10 kind of guy who gives effort on d....if I'm right and this is the case he's top 5

    Time will tell.

The other thing I see on this team is smith and Osik. With has good hands and a soft touch, not the case with Osik but it looks to me that Osik can move without the ball and I'd he starts finishing this team is loaded.

As far as a Lin trade, there is no way lingers traded with the way this team is scoring. Best back court in the nba and the number one scoring team isnthe nba. Not bad for the youngest team in the league

20-10? What are you smoking dude, 20-10 is MVP type of numbers. Lin would be on par with guys like M.Johnson, Isiah Thomas, Kevin Johnson had he ever put up that kind of numbers for even just 1 season.

No, Lin's no where near that.

i just think that people don't need to compare him with other pgs...
i know what you mean. but nash is nash, felton is felton, lin is lin....simple ways to support ...don't think too much.:)
it's fun to watch how these young players keep improving their chemistry together.

    *Barf*

I like Lin too, but people are having unrealistically high expectations for him. You set that bar that high, you're bound to be disappointed. I don't doubt that he be great in time, but enough of the nut-riding. Just let the man play basketball and we'll see how it goes.

I'm thankful if he can do 4 things consistently:
    - improve his 3 pt shot to the point that he can make the opponent respect it and make those clutch daggers. (and keep the foot/toes off that line!)
    - keep attacking the basket aggressively that he is known for
    - keep building that backcourt chemistry with Harden and Douglas
    - keep up that scrappy D

    Word.

So many people are ignorant of what actual players put up in this place we call reality.

15-11 and 19-11 were good enough to make Nash MVP (over some scrub named LeBron James) for 2 consecutive years.

If Lin averaged 20-10, he'd be outplaying Nash during Nash's MVP years.

Only a single PG this season, Rajon Rondo, is averaging double digit assists, and that's because he plays to inflate his assist numbers over his scoring numbers.

People need to get a clue. Lin will probably finish the season at around 13-15 PPG and 6-7 APG, and if he does so, then the Rockets will have gotten their money's worth.

Lin is going free with his knees tonight vs the Bulls. No pads or straps.

Lin has finally overcome the shackles placed by his evil, vindictive, agenda driven coaches who tried their very best to keep the man down.
