SilkRoad is a free to download and free to play (no subscription fee) online MMORPG. It crazy how many users there are on it, the game is simply stunning for a free game. Sound (and looks) pretty cool, but I'm a little bit too busy this week to check it out right now. Maybe during the weekend or during Thanksgiving. Considering it's free, I almost feel like I HAVE to check it out considering the amount of work that went into it. And it would be my 1st MMORPG as well if I get around to playing it.
It was my first too. And man, there are a hell of a lot of players playign it online! . Now if only I can get the hang of it.
I'll try it out. (It's gotta be at least as much fun as NationStates, doesn't it? With a 500 MB download, it better be. ) I've never played an MMORPG before, either. I'll be "kimble" on there.
From what I've read on other forums about it, they say the game play starts out kind of slow. So at first it might not seem like that much fun. But as you understand the game more, and upgrade your character more it gets better and better. I like it myself, just so much to keep track of.
I don't thinkso. I just finished playing a few min ago. Which server you tryign to get on? You can still join them even when they say full or congested.
It looks like it is -- there's a message on the front page under "Updates" that there's a "temporary server inspection for security patch" from 15:00 to 16:00 Korean Time -- i.e., right now until 01:00 Central. (I'm still downloading, though.)
I downloaded this about a week ago and was FINALLY able to log in after they put up a new server for the first time yesterday. For a FREE game, it's good, very good. It has some horrible lag and rubberbanding, but that's to be expected seeing how the servers are always maxxed out. If you can get past the lag, and the average age of 12, you're set to have some fun! I've made 2 different kinds of guys, and it really is kind of fun. Would be kind of cool if we all partied up

I forgot which server I chose, but if I'm on the wrong server it's not a big deal. Not like I got that far. I can create another character.
I've been playing on the Aege server, but am willing to switch I guess since I'm not far. My ID is Uprising......go figure. I still can't find that guy whos supposed to be at the end of the south gate. I've been hunting all this time. Playing it right now.
Im about to DL and Ill get in the Aege Server as well....Im curious to really how good the game is. See yall there maybe...Ill be rushour. EDIT: this download is taking forever...see yall there maybe next year.
Are there any games cooler than this one but aren't free? I'd rather pay a couple of bucks for a really cool game than to just spend time playing an OK game for free.
