See, it's that kind of quote that makes me love the Rockets and believe in them next year even though so many of you guys don't. This team has so much heart, character, desire, and chemistry that it is unreal. When they are a little short on talent, it's those intangibles, including believing in yourself and the team, that push you through and it's that that makes me believe the Rockets will be a playoff contender next year. And also, was I reading about Steve, Cuttino, and the NBA Finals right there? Cuttino- that's an opportunity you'll NEVER have in Toronto. In a few years, Steve will have that opportunity, with or without you. You can either be with him deep in the playoffs or sitting at home with Vince and a team as old as the dinosaurs. And also if he did go to Toronto, he would have to start all over getting a chemistry going with Carter. He and Francis clicked right from the beginning and finished the season with a flourish, leaving us fans wanting more for years to come. There is no guarantee that he and Carter can form this type of bond. I think Mobley has to take all this into consideration. He has carved a nice niche here and this team is headed in the right direction. I remember seein some segment talking about the close friendship Vince Carter and Mobley had struck up since rookie orientation. I think Mobley's pretty certain of their potential chemistry. ------------------

Being friends off the court doesn't mean chemistry on it. Look at Pippen and Barkley. They used to be best friends off the court. The point is that his GAME fits so well with Steve's and they make each other better. They also know each other's tendancies, etc. and on the court they almost know what the other is thinking, which is a very special thing to have. chemistry huh? I think I remember Steve and Mobes kissing after a game once and a couple of posters freaked out. not that there is anything wrong with that. ------------------ I am so exasperated that I could expectorate.
Plus, Vince will probably leave Toronto when he becomes a Free Agent in 2002, when Toronto is in rebuilding mode. It would be cool if him and his UNC teammate, Antawn Jamison sign with the same team and become teamates once again.
