TRADE Man I am so sick of these stupid trade steve or cat posts every single day. The same people posting the same opinion. Sometimes I wish the Rockets would trade Stevie so I can become a fan of the team he goes to. H-TOWN fans are weak and fickle. Although this team has not made the playoffs in 4 years, with the exception of that one injury riddled season, Francis and Mobley have kept the Rockets respectable (Rockets have won 40 + games 3 of 4 seasons). The West is so tough. We haven't had to indure 20 or 25 game win seasons like the Bulls, Nuggets, Celtics, Clippers and others. Now we have Yao who is getting better, and some shooters around him and Francis. Once they learn the system, pick up a "real" power forward and get aclamated fully they will be an elite team. Francis has his weaknesses but I think his strengths far exceed his weaknesses. He makes a lot of stupid tournovers, his defense isn't great but is improving. His playmaking abiblity may not be at Kidd's level but there are numerous times where Francis has passed to a WIDE open man who bricks what should be a routine shot. In the Phoenix game for example, I counted 8 TIMES where he drew the defense and passed it off to an open man who either missed the shot or got fouled. Do you people even know what an assist is? It usually involves the person that receives the ball scoring a basket. Please quit this worthless threads that argue the same **** every single day!!! Francis in Yao are untouchables on this team in my opinion.
I think Francis' shooting is effect by the Gundy's style. He is the type of player that need to dribble and dribble to get in rhyme and shoot....but Jeff is telling him to dribble less and shoot...don't you think that's why he's shooting poorly cuz he needs more dribbles? I don't think Steve is a spot up shooter either, that's why he is not complement Yao well cuz he ain't a spot up shooter and needs to dribble and shoot. On the other hand, Mobley is a spot up shooter and can shoot while dribbling. Rox need Francis to reduce is rediculous turnover per game and improve his shooting % to give them more chances of winning.

Nice and quiet. Then again, if the Rocks are winning and that means I have to carry a shovel in here to clear off the bullchips, that ain't so bad. I think you are a Francis fan and not a Rocket fan. I hope they trade him to the Clippers so you can go cheer for them, and you know what they suck and will suck forever. Go cheer for a loser.
You know, one can believe that both Francis and Yao are excellent players and still think one should eventually be traded. I don't think they're really compatible - not if they both play how they're at their best. I'd prefer to keep Yao. But I understand the other side, too.
Wow you must be a genius, you actually figured that one out on your own? I am also a Rockets fan, I have been a fan of the Rockets pre-championship era unlike most of the so-called Rockets fans. (90 % of the people on this board probably are pre-championship era fans as well). I just hate hearing the same bull-SH*T arguements every single day. The same old tired arguments that blame Francis for every single thing. When Yao has a bad shooting night, it's Francis' fault, Francis average 20 + PPG, 6 + APG, and 5 + RBG last season and was criticised for doing too much, now he has sacrificed alittle of his offense and is being criticised for not scoring enough. Yeah he is not shooting the ball well but he is still avering 17 PPG, imagine when he starts to shoot like he is capable of, he will average 20 + easily. With the current Roster minus Francis, plus a Eric Snow or TJ Ford the Rockets would be a 25-30 game win team. No matter what he or Cat does, most are going to hate cause they have in their hearts and mind that they just don't like them. It's not even worth wasting time arguing anymore cause you have your haters and that's just how it's going to be. Keep being a hater cause Francis isn't going anywhere. You know what, I bet the current Clippers with Francis make the playoffs over the Rockets. I am not even worrying about it cause Francis isn't going anywhere. Until Yao learns how to be physical, and gets the mean streak, Francis the best player on the team. The Rockets need the both of them no matter how much you people hate that. Peace.
I couldnt say it any Better!! some Rockets fans only seem to see Francis faults but they dont see a 7'6 Yao Ming tapping balls around instead of grabbing or him flopping on the ground when small forwards bump into him or the easy shots he misses or the shots where he has an easy dunk but he lays it up and it gets blocked!! WHOA i guess yall dont see that
One question for you. Do you think Steve Francis is worth $100 million. I don't. At that salary, Francis' job should be a lot more than "keeping the Rockets respectable". If he's worth $100 million then I say there are at least 15 NBA players that should be making ARod type money right now.
I guess you don't see that Yao has not even played a year and a half of NBA basketball yet and that simply is not enough time to form an opinion on him
