Just to spark some damn interest in this bbs. Stevie is running straight down the middle at about half court. To his right he has Shandon Anderson, completely free. To his left he has Cuttino Mobley, completely free. One defender playing right down the middle at the top of the 3 point line. 1. Who should recieve the pass. 2. Who do you think Stevie would more than likely pass to. Dont over analyze my post. At least not yet. I think he passes inside to Kenny Thomas for a little 5 foot brick ------------------ And Florida's 25 electoral votes go to ...Ralph Nader
No pass he will DUNK it ------------------ "It's incredible to see how he [Mobley] can beat his guy one-on-one every time. That is a tremendous talent. The combination of Steve and Cuttino, I think, is wonderful in the backcourt." --the Dream
Honestly in that scenario I think Steve looks to do an alleyoop pass to Cat and if the defender picks up on that and defends he goes to Shandon. ------------------ President of the Jason Collier fan club! Looking for next year's Jason Collier or Dan Langhi? Draftsource.net ClutchTown.com
Depends on who the defender is. If it Mugsy Bouges, Francis jumps right over him for the slam ------------------ In order to be a success in life, you need 2 things: 1. Don't tell everything you know. [This message has been edited by BobFinn* (edited November 26, 2000).]
I'd have to say Stevie crosses the defender goes straight to the hoop and then kicks out to Cat for the three. ------------------ Ceo of the Walt Williams fan club. Web site coming soon atheistalliance.org
If the defender sags then he pulls the trigger on a three. If the defender defends Francis then Steve will probably give it to Shandon on the right - or if Cat has been hot then he'll shovel it out there to Cat for a three (he stopped running at the 3 line) ------------------
From the 3 point line?!! Damn. ------------------ -------------- Did you know? Derrick Chievous sucked. It's true. -- from the ClutchCity.net "Did You Know" sidebar
Stevie over to Shandon, and when the defender goes to Anderson, he kicks it back to Francis for the dunk. ------------------ My dream job is to be a Houston Rockets towel boy.
Cmon people...there are two parts to this question, and it was put foward as a serious post to derive thought provoking insight. Let me be a little more exact though. The defender stays on Stevie. Either by clenching up on him, or sagging straight back. So far only Dr.N is passing... ------------------ "I have amazing, powers of observation"...Pink
Stevie will make the defender commit to him, and then he will give a ball fake to SA, and pass it over to Cuttino for the easy bunny. DaDakota ------------------ If Mankind evolved from Monkeys and Apes, then why are there still Monkeys and apes?

Yeah I can see about 25% of the time Cat would stand at the 3, Anderson would be there for a easy dunk a steve will throw it right over Cat's head. But the other 75% I can see him doing the right thing and give it to Shandon ------------------ Agent
Hey, this is a trick question Stevie doesn't run the ball up court (at least not this year). He usually does that little hopping thing and palms the ball a lot until he gets into the half court set ------------------
This is easy. Steve of course passes the ball. But if they are both free, it really doesn't matter who he passes to. The pass shoudl go to the player closest to the basket, or in the best position to convert an easy 2. You can say he would probably pass to Cat right now, due to the little fued with SA. But who knows. Anyway, a lot of the outcome depends on how the defender reacts. If I am the defender, I fake a commitment at Stevie, trying to get him to pick the ball up, then once he does, again I would fake a commitment one way to cover a passing lane to either Cuttino or Shandon, then try to recover to intercept the pass going to the opposite side. Make sense???? Anyway, I like the pass to go to Shandon. I think he is a fantastic finisher on the break. ------------------ There is a very fine line between "hobby" and "mental illness." the defender will hedge between Steve and Cat leaving Shandon wide open, Steve will wave him off and give the ball to Cat no matter what, in fact Steve will serve it to Cat with ice cream and cherries on top aswell ------------------ "It's incredible to see how he [Mobley] can beat his guy one-on-one every time. I'm pretty sure Stevie would pass it to Cat. What I'd like to see happen is Stevie pass it to Cat, and then Cat passes it to Shandon. Shandon needs to be involved in some way... Cat will definately get his points as it is, but Shandon doesnt have many opportunities to score. Therefore, Shandon should be the one finishing. ------------------ da ability to focus attention on important things is a defining characteristic of intelligence - alaskanSnowman
