So, what did you'all think of that? He brought a little dance with him to the garden and got the good 'ol NYC greeting.

I've got no major complaints about the fancy dribbling, because that's his thing, but sometimes I think we lose opportunities on the break because he's doing that funky dribbling up the court. I think he could be so much faster if he did the Drexler dribble rather than skip up the court.

When Moochie was in there he appeared a lot faster than Francis...and appeared to create an offense when Francis couldn't. I am beginning to lean toward going with a two PG team. Francis is great, but there are times when he can't seem to get the offense in the flow. I give him two years to correct this. I'm getting tired of going one on one the whole fourth quarter. We need to run some plays.

On a Brighter note, he was getting doubled all over the place. New York was scared and he still put up thirty points. That's just amazing. He's a God and we've got him.

Seriously, my blood just about boiled when he was doing that leg-kick junk at the end of the half. What the hell is that crap? Predictably, his ridiculous showboating culminated in yet another terrible shot for us at the end of a half/quarter that never had a prayer. Why does our franchise savior have to act like such a punk sometimes? Arrrgggghhh! It's embarassing to say the least.

He is use to doing it when he plays. But he did it alot yesterday because of the crowd. The crowd was getting him in the game and he wanted to show some action. I dont worry all that much about that. It is actually pretty nice how he does it. [IMG]

I don't know....I'm happy to have both Francis and Mobley, but I wish they both would chill out a little. I don't mind a little celebration--if they earn it, but I don't think they should do any showboating until we're above 500. In other words: not this year.

On the other hand, I never though much of Sprewell--mostly because I always thought of him as a thug and because of the PJ/choke inicident. So, I was doubly embarrased when Francis was out there showboating, and Sprewell was calm, cool, composed, and kicking our asses. I guess DREAMer was right: Latrell's alright.

i have to agree with francis3, thats just part of his game and you cant really complain about the guy when he shoots 12-17 and goes for 32 points. however, if he starts playing like jason williams and passes up open layups to make the fancy pass, then i've got a problem.

    C'mon guys,
Why are we sometimes so critical of our players for the smallest things? I mean this reminds me of the Bryce Drew 'Shoe Wiping' thread. I choose took look at it from a more positive point of view, I think that high step shows that he loves the game and is actually having fun out there. I definitely don't think that this has any affect on how effective he is on the break, I mean there are times to run and times you don't.

Francis's high step is cool. I know Murph is always talkin bout not playing with the ball, but it is just so natural for Francis. When he goes in between the legs, it's the same for him as when anyone just dribbles from 1 hand to the other. I don't mind his fanciness. As long as he doesn't go Jason Williams on us, then keep it up Francis.

I was the one who started the thread Bryce"The Shoe Wiper Drew". It deeply saddens me to hear that you didn't like it either. What was it do you think? lack of critical insight or just too personal of a subject. I really try sometimes, man I really try. All my posts have been no less than terrible ever since that thread, at least thats what Dreamer says. So for now on don't bring up the Bryce"TheShoeWiper" Drew issue up anymore cause it gives me terrible flashbacks, thanks!

    I LOVE the high step!!

Brings energy to the young man's game, taunts the crowd, and it's done in the open court, where it is not in the leaast bit damaging. He only did it a few times, and he does'nt need to ruun the ball up the court every time.

I did get a little peeved at the tween legs dribble though. If you are gonna taunt your opponent that much(which is what it was) then you better DO something damn good on the play.

I thought the high step was cool. There are not many players that can show that type of flash. I think we are fortunate to have one of those players. Jason Williams with the elbow pass, Vince with a Nasty put my whole arm through a hoop dunk. Stuff like that makes the game exciting. Nothing wrong with a little high stepping....
