He looked absolutely sick as a dog tonight and, apparently, he was, yet he played an unbelievable game. What an amazing performance.
Yep, he really gritted it out there. Mobley was transcendent, he's been great the past 8 games or so. And how about Jason Collier and Dan Langhi leading the big comeback! Who say that one coming(besides The Cat)? This was a good win, with another different starting lineup. Go Rockets.
Absolutely. He was the glue that kept this team together. On Collier and Langhi, here's what I said to myself as they were put in the game: "Great, now Collier and Langhi are going to lead the Rockets on a huge comeback. Nice one Rudy."
Yeah, Morris hitting jumpers is like having a three-some with Swimsuit models, you dream about it, but you do't really expect it to happen.
and don't forget Cato! He played on a tender ankle and actually looked to re-injure it with 2min left to play, not sure if anyone saw it but I saw him hopping on one foot by the sideline and then the cam went to Rudy in time to see him say "Fu**!" - that's comedy Cato finished the game though, so hopefully everythings alright. Hell of a game for him. 14 points 4 blocks 11 boards -LTF
Where do you guys think we'd be if we had Mo and Rice contibuting? I think we would've easily made the playoffs. Cato's finally playing tough D, getting rebounds, and bocking shots. We could've gone some way with that in the playoffs. Let's hope he keeps the intensity high.
Defense and fast breaks - what a concept! Great job guys. I was driving back from NYC and had to listen to it on the Celt's radio and got home for the 4th. They will be replaying the game at 2am et, so I will see it.
Pued: Man, I was rolling when I read that quote! Sane: That's something I've thought all year. Nevermind Taylor and Rice, what if Francis hadn't missed 21 games (Rocks are 2-19 in those games 18-16 in the others)?
Based on what we have seen of T-Mo this year, the outside shots were pure gravey. (I'm sorry, gravey is the best I can do - I'll never top the swimsuit models analogy) On the other hand that picture perfect put back occured because he is always around the basket. Did you see his block on the fast break be wasted because everybody else was too lazy to run back. I appreciate that commitment to defense. Watch him in the paint, it is obvious he has pride and is hurt when someone gets an uncontested layup. Even if it is not his man or rotation. When paired with another interior defender, he acts like the paint belongs to us. I like that. T-Mo plays solid defense, runs the court well, and makes good decisions. He is getting the minutes becaue of injuries. But he is getting them ahead of the others because he deserves them. I would give him time to develop. He could grow into a solid contributor. He could be a very nice part of an an eight or nine man rotation. By the way, I liked Shandon Anderson.
