The first call was not legit because he called a travel on a 3 on 1, which was a gimme basket. Francis said "Noooo!" as he ran up the court. He didn't cuss him out. The ******* T'd him up for spinning. How much BS is that? The refs of all people should have the MOST tolerance of anybody on the court. Maybe I'm just sick of watching Bonzi Wells doing a chinup on a dunk and not getting T'ed up, and Gary Payton insulting the refs every second and not getting T'ed up, yet if Francis or anybody gets in the vicinity of an opponent with his mouth open they T him up. ------------------
Francis spins when going to the toilet hole or any hole he sees. It is his nature. Mabye we should send the refs footage of that to proove that he means nothing by it.

You know, the shame of it is that there are probably thousands of fans who think that Steve deserves whatever bad calls he gets - they probably think he's some flashy, trash-talking punk and they'll never forget how he b****ed his way out of Canada. If only they could see him night in & night out - see the type of effort he puts forth and see the kind of enthusiasm he plays with. In a league with stars like Rasheed Wallace, Jason Williams, Latrell Sprewell, Allen Iverson, Jason Kidd, and other @#%*ups, I feel like Francis is the kind of player who needs to be promoted. He definitely shouldn't be kicked out of games, at the very least.

No no YOU'RE missing the point. This was a big game and Francis is a grown man. Everyone in the league has seen him slapping backboards, yelling after dunks, and showboating on the court. I think Francis is second in the league in technicals. Is that the refs fault or is that Steve's fault? The second call was stupid but when you make yourself a target with past behavior you're going to get called for stupid technicals. It's called reality. Timing: How many times have you ever seen Steve YELL at a ref? Cuss one out? Physically threaten or assault one? NEVER!!! Yes, he's cocky - who wouldn't be with those hops? And Yes, occasionally he has a nasty mouth - but probably no nastier than any of the refs when the camera/mic isn't panned towards them. Damn, the NBA tightens the rules inside (3 sec) to allow guards to score and increase the pace of the game, and then kicks them out when they get too happy about their own performance... Talk about a double standard. I'm amazed he doesn't brag more. He's a walking highlight vid. He's surprisingly quiet considering his explosive skills - surprisingly mature for his age and experience. He usually just does his little horny thang with his fingers and trots back to D the other side or his assigned man. Those refs should be ASHAMED for what they did tonight. ------------------

I'll agree with a previous poster. So many players in this league do more instigating and show far more aggression to the refs than Steve Francis. Man... Steve is one of the good guys in the NBA, and they T him up like that. My first instinct was to get my gun and shoot it up in the air in the direction of Sacramento and hopefully land on that stupid refs head even though I know that bullet won't even make it halfway out of Texas. The Rockets organization needs to protest this. That ref needs to lose his job. If the Rockets office want to stand up for it's players and fans, an official complaint should be filed and we want updates on this. ------------------

Lets see, steves team is 38-30 in his 2nd season and the bulls have 6-7 wins total..while ill give u steve has a little more talent around him..brand has mercer and they still cant win..the game is not about numbers my friend its about w's.
