i wish Horry nothing but the best. I tend to block out his years in LA. I still remember the skinny SF who helped the rockets win 2 championships
Having both Horry and Kerr working the perimiter will give opposing teams fits in late game situations.
SA is one of the few teams in the league where he can be productive. It'll be weird seeing him there.
Heh...now the team that Horry help beat (with the Rockets) will get his service. But then, Horry helped sink Shaq in the Finals and later helped him win three.
I can't help but imaging Horry made his clutch buzzer beater AGAINST the Lakers in the plaoffs... that will be something special...
He'll replace Ferry's role on the team. Probably will see more PT than Ferry did though the Spurs certainly will want to keep his minutes down and not burn him out like LA did last season. Next signing may be Piatkowski. I've heard it's close but am not sure if Spurs' interest in him centers on what happens with other personnel moves.
Horry or Kerr has won the championship for the last how many years now? Is Kerr playing next year? If so, they will be unbeatable.
an amazing 10 years running. our first 2, chi's next 3, SA, la 3 peat, sa again. now they've increased their chances for the title from 50/50 to 100% with this signing. while i don't like the spurs, as i didn't like the lakers, i kinda hope he hits at least one more big shot. big shot rob can't go out like he did last year. give us at least one more moment, if for nothing but to remind me of the championship years again.
92 - 93 - Kerr 93 - 94 - Horry 94 - 95 - Horry 95 - 96 - Kerr 96 - 97 - Kerr 97 - 98 - Kerr 98 - 99 - Kerr 99 - 00 - Horry 00 - 01 - Horry 01 - 02 - Horry 02 - 03 - Kerr Kerr was traded to Chicage in the middle of the 92 - 93 season.
how many winning shot are made by them? last season, Kerr made like what? 4 three-pointer in last quarter which lead the spurs win over the Mavs, and in final, again, coming off bench and score like 6 points in 2 min? then Horry in the Lakers run, the one shot which Killed the Kings and the other two he made Killed Portland and Spurs? and I am sure Kerr and Horry made a lot of more back the days they are Bulls and Rockets as well.
I think Horry is washed up. I don't expect much out of him. He probably will be used similar to Kerr, won't play much all season then if needed in the post season, he'll be thrown in hoping he'll actually do something.
Interesting...almost every Spur I can think of brings their "A game" every game even if they make youthful mental mistakes. It'll be interesting to see how Bob "I'll coast until the playoffs and then bring my A game" Horry will fit in.
