His Fastball is similar to Lance McCullers.

Lance asked Zack Greinke about his Fastball. Zack was like it is Trash. Don't throw it. Use your other pitches. Lance throws other pitches and 2 seam fastball not a 4 seam fastball which is bad for him.

I think Forrest Whitley doesn't want to throw a 2 seam Fastball because of getting scared he can get injured again.

Forrest needs to be a Breaking Ball Curveball pitcher. Like Chris Carpenter was. Chris was injury prone also in Toronto. Moved to St. Louis everything changed. Threw more Curveballs and Changeups. Fastball was his strikeout pitch high up the Zone.

Became #1 Starting Pitcher and a World Series Champion.

probably the best possible landing spot for him because the Rays just find some way to turn pitchers like him into somewhat useable MLB arms.

I was anticipating either tampa or Atlanta was going to pick him up.

If these two orgs can't help him with his career, mind as well retire.

Every other team probably said, if the Astros can't do anything with him, then we can't either. Only Tampa can turn our crap into something not crappy.

Let him turn into Jordan Lyles, Lucas Giolito at first then maybe a Chris Carpenter 2 seasons later.

Forrest Whitley must do exactly what the Rays Analytics Staff and Pitching Coaches say. More Breaking Balls Curveball, Changeup and more 2 seam Fastball.
