Here is an article on Alonzo Mourning and the Nets. I am huge ZO fan and hope he does well and finally wins a title. Here is the link for those who are fans. http://nypost.com/sports/nets/41020.htm
Good article. Thanks. It might be a long shot, but if Mourning can stay healthy and perform at, or close to, his former all-star level, then the Nets should not only be considered favorites to win the East again, they just might have what it takes to knock off whoever is coming out of the West.
I still dont think they would be able to beat 3 or 4 teams from the west with a healthy Zo. Just too tough here in this wild west we live in.
I hope he can have a successful season and remain in good health. He is a fighter and deserves a lot of praise for trying to make another comeback.
Yeah, I hope he has a sucessfull season. Aside from Hakeem, he's been my favorite player since he joined the league. Seems like yesterday that he knocked down that shot from the top of the key to eliminate the Celtics from the playoffs. I don't know of anyone asides from Kevin Garnett that plays with so much energy and enthusiasm as he did night in and night out. Man, he was just reaching his peak too when that illness struck. He was runner up for MVP and 3rd place for MVP the two seasons before getting the illness. He was also Defensive player of the league those 2 years. He never got much praise and attention though for the STAR that he was. I hope he can win a title or a couple of titles the next few years. God willing.
Sorry I for getting excited, i know it is just pre-season but just saw this and couldn't help but get excited.
