    I love Foie Gras.

Masraff's in Houston has a duck breast with foie gras in a cherry reduction. It's so good.

If you're ever around Kirby area....go to Kata Robata, their Foie Gras + scallops melts in your mouth.

Yeah, I've had that dish. Amazing. Masraff's is one of my go-to restaurants when can't decide where to go. Top 5 in Houston and very solid and accommodating staff.

Pate is also made from goose liver. Do you like really good pate?

    I like you.

My wife and I love foie gras.

There's a place in Vegas (le cirque) that had Foie Gras on a chocolate brioche, super delicious. I think Le Mistral on the west side does a similar dish.

Masraffs is definitely in my top 5 Houston Fine dining. Better than Tony's from a more interesting and diverse menu. Have you tried the Foie Gras slider's at Masraff's? Awesome.

I've been looking for the type of Foie I've had in Europe here in Houston guys!

It's a pâté that's slightly sweet and melts in your mouth (shut up Swoly) served with toast.

    Anyone know a good place!?!

Foie prepared correctly is awesome. I've had fabulous experiences with it seared and in foie terrines.

They showed that place on Gordon Ramsey's The F Word. He said he could easily taste the difference between the two and would not switch to the better treated geese.

I understand chickens are treated horribly as well, I try to deviate to cage free whenever I can (at least with eggs, I can't really find meat that says the chickens are cage free because I don't think it's common out here, damn hippie vegans). I guess for me it's just try and do what little you can to reduce the ill-treated animals, maybe not 100% eliminate them from our diets but cut them out when I can. Having never tried foie gras it's rather easy not to eat it. I have the same kind of perspective with Wal-Mart, I only go when I really have to. My boss on the other hand, she will not step foot near one...

Yeah the treatment sucks. But it is incredibly good. I'll have it on rare occasion.

But then some people just might not like it, period. You can also try bone marrow see what you think, it's in the same ball park IMHO.
