Floaters

Somebody's been watching Hulu today...

 

You'd think there would be some super technical term for them but no, they're just floaters.

 

Oh, squiggly line in my eye fluid, I see you there, lurking on the periphery of my vision.
But when I try to look at you, you scurry away.
Are you shy, squiggly line?
Why only when I ignore you do you return to the center of my eye? Oh, squiggly line, it's all right.
You are forgiven.

 

Totally not what I thought this thread would be about... Corpses, poop, other random objects that float... IN WATER...

 

Indeed. I was convinced this was another "poop" thread.

Ahhh...the upgraded Sinkers & Floaters....

 

I saw a treehouse on the outskirts of the farm.
The power lines have floaters so the airplanes wont get snagged.
Bells are ringing through the town again,
Children look up, all they hear is sky-blue, bells ringing

And the train conductor says
take a break driver 8, driver 8 take a break
We can reach our destination, but were still a ways away

Man, I thought I was having symptoms of super powers, like x-ray vision. Thanks for ruining that.

what's the difference between a floater and a tear drop?

 

A tear drop is Rafer's shot that goes off of the back of the rim

A floater is the one that bounces off of the front.

 

I love that show.

 

Several years ago I had a sudden onset of a lot of floaters in my eye. It turned out i had a tear in my retina. The laser treatment for that was not fun. When the doctor said "this might hurt, it's near your optic nerve" he wasn't kidding.

A couple years after that I had a tear in my other eye and had to go through the same treatment. I still don't know what the actual cause was.

 

Ah.....high school memories.
