Hypothetically, the Rockets organization decide to part ways with RA, not because he has not a good coach but because of the obvious lack of personell to work his offense.
Do you think they should consider Flip Saunders ?

    I think they should, because:
    - Has had great success with Pistons
    - Is loyal and has had a few good seasons with Wolves and the incredible run in 03-04
    - Has had to deal with 3 stars / 3 main players working together (Cassell, KG & Spre) + (Rip, Billups and Rasheed) so has ways to work our big three
    - Has dealt with emotional players (Cassell, KG & Spre + Rasheed) so should have no problems with our team
    - Made the offense run through KG so can easily let it work here with Yao
    - Is always on the sidelines coaching his team like Rudy & JVG
    - Looks like Rudy T :D (seriously, like the old Rudy that is)

I know he has been critized for his defensive schemes but we need offense more than defense; JVG was defensive minded so we still need that offensive minded coach that works for this team

Please discuss and it's just hypothetical; I still think RA can make it work and it's early, but I think Flip would be good for this team if we don't have any success this year and continue along this .500 road.

Rick is a fantastic basketball coach and this team's problems have nothing to do with coaching. If JVG wasn't the right coach then why would Flip be an upgrade? Worse defensive philosophy and more "do whatever you want" on offense.

Keep Rick and make the players conform.

Ron Artest needs RA; firing RA = berserk RA.

    22 in a row....

Rick Adelman is not the problem.

He's not the problem but what if his 'react to the situation', motion offense will never work ? So hypothetically if the team never starts to click, they go back to just pick and rolls, play 1-on-1 and go back to JVG ball and we remain .500 this whole year, would Flip be an option ?

Dude what NBA did you watch? apparently not the one on planet Earth.

Flip Saunders took a championship team and lost the team's confidence in him. He was soft and ran out of Detroit.

Do you recall KG getting beat every time in the 1st round like Tmac's twin brother every year? The only reason they were 2nd/3rd round material was because of Cassell. It wasn't coaching.

Easily one of the worst coaching suggestions of all time. I even prefer the newbs wanting Phil Jackson even though that's beyond impossible, at least they recognize good coaching.

Rockets fans are amazing. Coming off a 55-win season including a 22-game winning streak, a 4-3 start and they're asking for a new coach.

This thread is so incredibly stupid, I am sincerely embarrassed for the poster who started it.

It's way to early to talk about coach. Apparently, RA is still testing the rotation in every possible combination. Though I feel the biggest issue now is the superstar have to know how to play....
