My Dell laptop, that I have had for about half a year and afterwards will never buy another Dell product.....AGAIN, has a screen that is a little loose. It's not totally loose where it will not remain stationary but it is still loose where it's annoying. Is there anyway to tighten the screen at all? I don't see any screws or anything such as that which would be used to tighten it. Also, I have bought two chargers from Dell and both have shorts in them and rarely work. Like I said, I have had this damn thing less than a year. Will Dell replace one or both of these chargers at no cost? F--- DELL!!!
My left click button on my Dell laptop broke after a year. I use a mouse. Dell can suck my huge **** as well.
My screen has three large black spots (about 2 inches in diameter) on the screen, and multiple horizontal white lines running across the screen. The tech guy said it was due to a magnetic field, despite the fact that the machine has been in the exact same location for over 8 months and the problem occurred only recently. Dell can bite my bag. I will never buy another one of their products. My next laptop will probably be an Apple.
Just double tap the square mouse finger reader it works like a left click. And I love my Dell Inspiron 8600.......a GREAT laptop. DD
Seems like some of you guys can use a lesson in gentleness. Also, I find that Toshiba's are best in terms of efficiency.
I've never had a problem with my ancient Toshiba which I replaced with a Dell Inspiron 6000. Haven't had a problem with the Dell after 2-3 years, either. Just bought a MacBook to join it. No problems yet with that... although I don't know how in the hell I won't scratch the hell out of its exterior with the material they use. I must be the luckiest PC user on the planet... no viruses, malware, and rarely any hardware failures. (Now watch every one of them blow up overnight...)
I still have an HP OMNIBOOK from 2000. STill working like a charm, perfect little internet laptop to carry around the house.
It's always greener on the other side... until you get to the other side... you should read some of the problems people have with their Macbooks (well, at least early on). This reminds me of the cell phone wars - "I'll show AT&T! I'm switching to Verizon!!" While somebody across the city is screaming "I'll show Verizon!! I'm switching to AT&T!!" lol.
My Dell has the same problem. If a feather touches the screen it completely falls over flat. Luckily I bought an extended at-home service warranty that goes til 2009.
dells are the best. maybe not the most cutting edge, but theyre well priced and customer support is great.
