Marcus Fizer I think he is going to be trade because in Chicago have Brand.and he is in the starting lineup.
Fizer and Brand are in the same position (PF)
If I were Fizer I ask for a trade.

    Tell me your opinion

Yeah, Fizer is trade bait. Unless the Bulls want to put him in the center spot, but that just leaves them with a small paint. The Sonics use that scenario with Baker and Grant but if you have Payton who cares.

Don't know if he will be a Rocket, but I would bet on that before I would bet on him playing the 3. That is what Floyd said he will play. I don't thik he has the quickness to play most 3's in the league. Of course, I could see him playin sf before center though. But, no mistake about it, he is a natural 4.

Wait, Chicago needs a center. Why don't we just trade them Prz plus some change (Drew + future #1) for Fizer or perhaps the Bulls sure fire low lottery pick #1 next year. Oh yeah, we traded that Prz for a couple of mid to late 1st rounders, there goes that idea [IMG].

ss-All will be better when Eddy Curry, Loren Woods, Terrence Morris, or Gerald Wallace, maybe 2 of them, are in Rockets pajamas 2 years from now.

Did I mention Chris Webber's gonna be a free agent?

    Trade or bench Kenny Thomas.

Francis3-What if Franchise wants Morris by his side? Would a 6'9'' athletic SF, who is a monster on defense, post up, and can shoot the bomb be ok with you? [IMG]

Just think, that silly trade of the one dimensional, Joel Pryzbilla could be 1/2 of what gets us Wallace, or Morris, AND land us a guy who fits our system like a glove.

Ok NIKEstrad, but we are going to have to start the tank-o-thon early to get Woods, Wallace or one of my favorite (seems more intense than Morris), Battier. Milw pick isn't going to get it done, we must do it the Gizzard way.

Before I was all for the idea of trading this years pick. But that was before Mihm, Swift, Miles and Miller evened the talent out quite a bit. I actually think the top 13 this year is pretty solid, and we traded right past the talent free fall point.

I would love to get morris but wallace is #1 on the list. Morris needs to get stronger and he can become a really good player in the nba.

Knowing how Rudy does it well trade the 1 pick for the 15 to select Battier

It would make sense for more teams to trade (down), because this year, there was no franchise clear cut #1 after Martin, and maybe Swift/Miles.

Next year, there'll be a ton of possible #1s, there is serious talent all the way through: Morris, Woods, Wallace, Curry, Haywood, DeJuan Wagner, and several more all have the potential to be #1 picks.

I'd be happy with a package of Battier, and then a big man (Cook, Murphy, Gadzuric, Curry, Haywood, Woods). The talent will be out there.

ss-Who said the Detroit team minus some guy named Grant won't do the job for us? [IMG]

LOL in my zeal to chant tank I forgot to comment on the Fizer situation. [IMG] If we can get him without giving up number 1's next year, i say send him. As far as I'm concerned we can send every big man we have(except for Dream, his farewell tour MUST be in a Rockets jersey)

Do we really have to trade ALL our big men for Fizer? Is there some rule that if you want to play PF for the rockets then you must be 6'7 at the most?? Do we really NEED another player who wants to take a lot of shots??

Call me mad, but I don't want Fizer.

I'll call you mad because FIzer is probably the most selfish of the top 10 or so picks (maybe with the exception of Mihm). A guy who wants to take a lot of shots-c'mon. What have you been smoking?

J-Z, if you are calling Fizer selfish you must have seen a different Fizer play than I saw. Around a 60% shooter, great floor sense for teammates, great positioning, great leader of a team that played so well together (it is pretty clear they were the 2nd best team with far less than 2nd best talent). If they shoot a high percetage and create a ton of w's, I want selfish guys like that on my team.

Untill Fizer shows me some bonafied Sir Charles action. I still think this shorter than 6'7" Pf will be a washout in the NBA. He will definatly washout if they try to play him at the 3 spot...Please dont let the Rockets trade for that guy....

Fizer had 41 assists in 37 games last season. I just don't see him as a fit for the new Rockets.

As it stands now, Kenny Thomas is the lone non-Dream scoring threat in the post. Unless Collier turns out to be a better post player than most think, we're looking at another season of teams forcing the Rockets to shoot a lot of heavily contested outside jumpers. At some point, they have to find someone who is capable of filling it up down low. Fizer may or may not be the guy, but they could do worse. I don't think giving up Cato is the way to go, since the Rockets have no depth at center either, but it's ridiculous to suggest that Fizer wouldn't be a huge upgrade to the PF spot. As much as I like Thomas, Fizer has the ability to be the prolific post scorer that the Rockets need to find eventually.
