Genuine super star besides even in Harden Prime?
at SG? Even at Age point.

Its been about Curry, Lebron, Kobe, and Durant for years. In this early 2000 Era.
You know about Olajuwon but he was the past and A Center but as far
    as Shooting Guard.

Yes im talking about a player who has the exp, and doesn't buckle in
press moments in the playoffs ala Harden etc...

This is why i dont say Harden was a top 10, or even consider a Tier A SuperStar.
    maybe a Tier B,

So i ask you who is better in Poll..
    When you talk about playoffs.

Playoffs? It's Durant. It's not even close.

The thing with Harden is he can eat 5 trill burgers, get roofied by strippers, fall off a moving vehicle all at 2 a.m, and he would still be available to play a game at 7 pm.

Not sure if this a joke or not but peak harden is light years better than old Durant, even if kd has aged well he’s still a shell of what he used to be.

I said Harden, but in the playoffs it's Durant. God Harden let us down in the playoffs.

Then Jalen somehow found a way to one-up him.

Almost zero chance that happens in real life. Last time KD was really impactful in the playoffs he was 32. He will be 37 these playoffs, and closer to 38. I know people like to rag on harden for the lolz but it’s still nonsensical.

Maybe another way of thinking about the question is:
At the time of the trade to the Rockets, who had the biggest impact on the team's chances of winning a championship?

Right now we don't know, but I think it's gonna be KD. Because we know Harden almost got us there as "the system". But now we have a ready made team and KD, if healthy, is the perfect missing piece. He's not just any player fitting into the system, he's maybe the best at scoring from anywhere on the court. Even at 37 he's elite in this skill. And he's a plus defender.

I think also I needed to reframe the question because prime Harden against older KD isn't really a question in my mind. Prime Harden all the way.

Hmm let's see, Prime Beard with all his powers vs old ass KD...this is so difficult. Stupid question, prime superstar is always better than aging past his prime superstar. If Beard had this supporting cast then the Warriors would've been ****ED. Like straight up, battered. Imagine MVP Beard instead of Jalen last year. Durant is great but there's almost nobody else in history you could put in that spot and have more of an impact. We had no offense, Prime Beard was 1 man offense. He had no defense, we would've covered every single one of his flaws to perfection. Bonus if we get both MDA running O and Udoka running D. Tbh, I'm not actually sure that could be beaten. Is prime Harden anywhere on 2k? Try it, I bet it's ****ing ridiculous having Prime Beard with Sengun and then the terror twins at the other end.

So a 23 yr old in his first playoffs "one up'd" an established star who repeatedly failed over many opportunities? Ok, that's not ridiculous at all...I get it, he was bad in 6 games but some of you act like he's a total failure at 23. Maybe he will prove you right, I for one still have faith in the kid.

I enjoyed the Harden years as a whole, but I'll take KD in the playoffs at any age...I've never seen HIM quit

Harden played great in at least 3 of 4 playoff games; he just seemed to crater for us at the worst possible moments. True, this was Jalen’s first rodeo, but he let us down in 6 of 7 games.

You can compare any two players you want. Doing so doesn’t mean you think the comparison makes them equal. That’s not how comparisons work.

IDK but I would rather have Jordan and Olajuwon on the same team.

Screw those 2 OKC players that never won for OKC.

The problem with Prime Harden style was he never trusted others enough and Basketball is a team sports of 5-15 players.

Heavily ball dominant. The Clippers version was much more team friendly but it hit him when he is 34 that team success is bigger than individual success.....while SGA sometimes takes a backseat to winning.

    • Both Pacers and Thunder showed last season what is like to have super deep teams, heck even the Rockets relied on a deep team.
