Actually, there is no such thing.

    But. . . .

Yao, before injury made a terrific case. T-Mac has had many brilliant moments.
Nash has been the prototype point guard until injury.
Kobe has shown flashes of team play.

But, Dirk Nowitzki, night after night has been the most valuable player in this league so far.

Yeah, ok. Considering the unimaginable winning streak the Suns are on since Nash went out. BTW, isn't this in the wrong forum? One last thing, Dirk is a FLOPPER. Go back to your Mavs forums.

Well, i'd rather choose Steve Nash...
Look at how terrible the Suns are without Nash...
And more importantly, I love that kinds of playing style... :p

Isn't there a rule that says you can't name someone on the other team, who we just to, the MVP? This isn't a very smart thread considering it's timing.

Well the timing can go both ways...

    1. He actually decided the day before the All-Star break

    2. We just lost to a team so their best player is the MVP

    Hahaha.

The thing is, that was such wasted ballerness from T-Mac. Those 3's at the end, and that left handed slam...

    Too bad we lost.

He missed a couple key FTs, but then again so did Juwan and Rafer and we had a shot to win EVEN AFTER the terrible FT shooting, but Luther and Rafer f*cked it up.

Oh well no point in dwelling. All-Star break, here we come.

I have a feeling the game after is going to be hell though. We're going to get abused inside by Shaq and Zo without Yao in there to stop 'em.

Nowitzki is an above average defender. He has above average lateral quickness and size for his position, and he's a very good defensive rebounder. This myth that he's a poor defender needs to die already.

I don't think he is quick to react on the defensive end though. He looks like he plays D, but NBA guys don't have a prblem getting a good shot off agaisnt him. He SHOULD be a good defensive rebounder with his height

I'm not saying he's Kevin Garnett, but he's above average. I mean, there are some people who think he's still one of the worst defenders in the league. I wonder if these people every actually watch basketball. Nowitkzi was a very poor defender early in his career, not unlike most young, Euro big men. But he's improved significantly on that end of the court the last few years. Right now, he's one of the better defensive fours in the game in my view. I do think he's a much better face up defender than post defender. And of course offensively, he's unmatched at his position.

Luther Head is a guard and Nowitzki is a 7 footer. Most PFs would have trouble guarding Luther one-on-one on the perimeter. I don't see your point.

Also, one point to consider in the MVP race:
While Nash makes those around him better, Dirk makes everybody angrier.
