This thread and the season record predictions thread reminds me why people get so pissed...expectations. This first 10-game stretch is brutal and Bonzi hasn't played. Chemistry and rotations will take time and the rookies will need to adjust. Right now, 5-5 seems reasonable with 4-6 or 6-4 not out of the question.
I hope so. I'm completely rooting for them to win more and I obviously want them to go all the way. And I'm glad that people here are excited. That's what being a fan is about. It just seems like we go from "they are going to be the most dominant team in the history of the NBA" to "they suck!" very quickly around here.
Schedule is not the most important it is how well you play. Last year we had a easy starting schedule and we sucked.
Did Yao and Tmac play during those games? I guess not. I'm expecting them to play like it's the playoffs considering what TMAC said that he's hungry and ready. If they lose due to team chemistry problem, that's ok. But I really expect to see them diving for the ball, figuratively speaking.
Good point. T-Mac didn't play a single game against Dallas, and Yao missed one, too. T-Mac played in I think only one of the San Antonio games, Yao in 3. Still, when 2 teams have your number as consistently as these two do (especially the Spurs, don't we still have something like a 20+ game losing streak to them in San Antonio), and when those teams are really really really good teams anyway, there is little reason to expect the Rockets to win those games, at this point.
i assure you your last prediction is wrong. we will not be 10-1 after the first ten games. I'll bet 50 bucks towards the tip jar. Any takers?
Actually, it is entirely possible that we could be 10-1 AFTER the first ten games. After all, eleven games comes after ten games. The only REAL guarantee is that we will definitely not be 10-1 BEFORE the eleventh game. Heheheh Might wanna restate that bet. It's like when I tell my 5-year-old son that I can jump higher than our house. Gets him every time. (Our house can't jump)

It would be wrong to predict anything but 3-7 or 4-6. I hate to say it, but this team starts off slow every year. I hope I am dead wrong and they go 8-2!
i'm gonna call it right now. you can take this to the bank. the Rockets will NOT go winless in their first 10 games.
