I had problems with it this morning, Smeg - even had to use the b*stard explorer...*shudders*

But I tried it again after 5 minutes and having no problems now.

Maybe a re-start will fix the problem.

Firefox does not update like normal programs on Windows.

You must uninstall the old version first, then install the new one.

    ;)

Uninstall the previous version, then install 1.0 PR. It should ask you about importing your settings from a previous version, and then it'll work just great. But there's a chance you might also need to delete your profile, and have Firefox recreate it. That's the ideal way to re-install, but sometimes you don't have to.

Let us know if that works.

Best way is to grab your bookmarks.html file out of your profile (to save your bookmarks), then delete your firefox profile, then start up 1.0 PR. It'll create a new profile for you. Drop your bookmarks.html file into your new profile and you'll be good.

It looks likely that you won't need to do this again, b/c the newer Firefox will handle updates a bit differently (read, properly!). It also does a good job of keeping on top of not allowing you to install extensions and themes that break it.

BTW, you probably had a heck of a time using IE, eh? :) I had to use it the other day and I was blowing my brains out middle-clicking, hitting stuff like "Shift+Enter" and "Ctrl + T".
