    A bit random but

    on espn.com

is anyone here having trouble when clicking on various links sometimes and then it pops up a little window offering you the options of either

saving the applet or opening it?

reinstalled firefox, but keeps on doing it

APPEARS to only be espn.com , so not a huge deal I guess, just wondering if anyone else got this.

http://www.geocities.com/ts5818/espn.JPG (bit too big for this page so just posted it here)

Does it happen to only happen on the MLB section of ESPN.com?

I had the same problem yesterday.

I think it was a preemptive strike by Scott Boras. :9

mmm yeah, I think it could be the mlb only section.

tried a few other sections real quick without any problems

wouldn't surprise me if it was boras :O

That's odd -- It happens on the Astros site, and then when you try to go to the Mets' site, but I couldn't get it to happen anywhere else. The Royals, Yankees, etc. worked fine. I think it may have to do with mime-types, but I have no idea. I suspect it's a problem on their side, and ESPN has always been good about making things compatible with all browsers.

If you were desperate to read the page you could have downloaded it to your temp and viewed it as an offline page. I did that for one, but then decided it wasn't worth the trouble.
