That is for the full mixed use facility, the practice facility alone is $100M, pretty comparable to Rockets.
But we ain’t ready to have that conversation. We’ll have that conversation after we give them 5 more years @RB713
9 years ago, a #HoustonSports franchise had a GM who quickly rebuilt the team into a contender, but faced criticism at the trade deadline for overvaluing prospects, preventing any trades That was Jeff Luhnow, 2017 Astros Worked out pretty well then. It’s Rafael Stone’s turn now. Could CP3 be the new Justin Verlander lol Keep the faith
I’m down for it. I say burn it all down I was already there last year when they didn’t trade for a guard that can shoot. anyone with a brain knew that we needed one more guard that could space the floor and I guarantee we would’ve got by Golden State if not made it to the finals if not won a freaking championship…. that was the easiest path to the championship that We’ve seen in a long time and they blew it…. And it looks like they’re blowing another year just so freaking stupid … We gotta stop rewarding these incompetent morons with our money and attention. I don’t even think they’re trying to win just trying to sell tickets and merchandise
Yea, Stone's meeting after the trade dealine with his boss should be a little tense because I don't see a healthy body of work.
Unless stone knew greek was staying this season. And is trying to make a move for him next year, I understand.
I wonder if we end up doing nothing this deadline, or maybe Stone is cooking another Cody Zeller blockbuster trade at the moment.. smh.
He should’ve been fired when Silas was let go. It should have been a transition to a positive future.
Its nto if you realize what you have and give the rebuild time. The sky is only falling because we ddint give the rebuild a chance. We went out to get Durant to win a chip when we werent ready. You keep Dillion you track Jalen for a young pg and you continue what was working. You dont get KD.
I feel like sometimes no move is the best move. It's hard for fans to see that because we don't know what is on the table. I think sometimes we get mad at imaginary moves that are never there. Just because one team is able to get a player it doesn't mean that we too could have gotten that player, for all you know, that team had no interest in any of our players or contracts. It's why I really only try to judge trades that have happened. Easy to get mad at trades we make up in our mind but I feel like none of the players out there makes us a contender TODAY so I'm not that mad at it. Ayo don't make us a contender, none of these other guards do, I don't see the point in giving up decent to good players for a sideways move at best. It then makes sense to just sit there, get your guy on the buyout market, and move on. It's not the most exciting thing but we had our big exciting move this past offseason.
"The issue hasn’t been the Rockets’ ability to compete with the top teams. It’s about consistency, maintaining the effort and energy required to play their brand of basketball. When the Rockets come in with the right mental approach, they’re capable of beating anyone. It’s getting them to maintain that focus that’s been the biggest issue." yep
I'd normally agree with you, but this feels different. They obviously need some changes. It's frustrating to see them give up on last years team, acquire an aging superstar, and then not surround him with what they need to be legitimate contenders. What was the point? It feels like mismanagement.
I’m probably one of the few people who want to keep DFS. People are down on him just like they were with Steven Adams when he was coming back from injury, knowing good and well he’s not 100% and hasn’t had a training camp or preseason, but I saw him when he was with the Lakers. He transformed that team, especially the defense and was hitting 40% in threes. The Lakers were a different team when he was on the court. We just need to be patient like we were with Adams. I’m not a big fan of Stone, but knowing our cap situation which limits trades, I’m willing to see who shakes loose on the buyout market. There should be a number of guards the Rockets can choose from.
