Ways to get this thread banned:

    1. Talk about sex, sex and more sex

    2. Talk about US politics and Bush

    3. Talk about racial inequality in this country (target Yao and Asians)

    4. Talk about international politics, especially China and Taiwan

    5. Use tons of profanity. The more the better. If censored, just type in *s.

    6. Use unlimited personal attacks against each other. No mercy is allowed.

    7. Throw relentless slender/rumors at the personal lives of the Clutch Crew.

    8. Attack Hakeem and Clyde. Say they are overrated and owned by Jordan, Payton, Kemp, Malone and Stockton.

If is the bottom line, if the Crew member aren't willing to lock the thread and you are desperate to have it locked, just make Clutchfans look as stupid/uneducated/rude as possible to the outsiders(it's open to public viewing), and sooner or later, the Crew will lock it due to the embarrassment.

Nice idea, but who's willing to get banned to do any of the above just so this crappy thread gets locked?

...since you brought it up, I nominate you to call one of the Clutch Crew gay :p (Pick one that has the quickest trigger)

The guy who keeps bumping this thread up probably doesn't even believe his own words anymore. He just likes to feed his own ego by continuing this thread.

And I'm not helping matters. :(

You know what, here is a new idea. Let's just all play dumb in this thread. Let's just all be stupid. Let's write crazy stuffs. Let's talk about how your day was. Let's throw in gossips, random thoughts, dirty jokes and p*rn pictures (won't be allowed, of course). Maybe someday, this thread will turn into one of those all time legends. You know, a timeless garbage can. edc, don't worry. We will make your name immortal here.

Umm, check the time. I posted to the thread DURING the game. The Rockets were up by 7 or 8 points at the time. They managed to pull a Van Gundy in the fourth quarter, but that hadn't happened at the time. I believe your post was the first after the loss was actually in the books :)

It really doesn't matter. Because you will post here anytime.

Whoa! Come on edc. Do you really want me to explain to YOU (again) how your analogy is NOT the same as our situation? Really? You really have a knack for locking into ONE factor and just running w/it like it's black and white. Come on...think! Real hard!

All I want you to explain is how it was fine to not let Rick Carlisle "build his resume," and it is fine to keep JVG on board, when in both instances a "better guy" is out there.

That we give JVG two more years and we lock this thread for the time being.

    (1) I don't have the power to lock any thread.

    (2) The Rockets don't have > 51 wins yet, do they?

True on the 1st. But I thought you wanted JVG fired NOW. You said, "No need to wait." I thought that meant fire Jeff NOW. Does it?

Never changed my mind. Unless Phil Jackson accepts and demands the job right now, there is no need to consider JVG's employment status until May.

But Jackson will not accept RIGHT NOW. SO that's out. It's a pipe dream.

Also, what if we get 48 wins but go deep into the 2nd round. What then? In refererence to the "there is no need to consider JVG's employment status until May" statement.

I'm talking about two more years for JVG regardless.

I would tend to agree about Phil Jackson. The earliest he would take the job is May.

I look at things season by season. > 51 wins, deep into the second round this year. If he accomplishes that, onward and upward for next year. What? I don't know, but WC finals and 55 wins is not unreasonable.

As to this regular season, 48 is not 51+, is it? If the Rockets underachieve, JVG's continued employment should be reconsidered this off season.

Exactly regarding Jackson. But JVG should not be hindered by lofty goals when we know he's trying to build a team.

When you say, "underachievement" I see that in three ways. Ability to motivate his players. And two, ability to get the right role players. And last, ability to build chemistry. These things can't all be attributed to underachievement in just this years play-offs. That's why I said, two years for JVG. For example, we could go 48 games this year, but do well in the 2nd round. That's not the best. But decent.

But next year we could get 57 wins and go to the WCF or Finals. That's how off-seasons, drafts and training camps go. They are built from the ground up. This takes time. This year is a transition period. It really doesn't show how good this team can be. We have glimpses. But not completely.

This year is a mix of players that we *could* get. This year we are really getting an idea of what TMac/Yao are capable of. And let me tell you. They are not Jordan, nor Shaq. There's too much work to do.

This is why I say, two years for JVG regardless of this year.

    And let me add this...

Let say that Jeff goes 48 this year (2nd round), then 57 next year (wcf/finals), but drops to 50 (first round exit) the following year (baring injury). That's how coaches get fired.
