I'm really not interested in "picking apart" anything relating to Adelman and his departure, not at this late date, but I did want him to stay, I do think it was a mistake not to retain him, and I believe that a coach should have the right to pick his own staff. So what I wanted to point out, I pointed out. We're stuck with McHale now, for good or ill, and we'll see what players he has to coach this year, eventually. Most of what is written on this board is opinion. You have your opinion of McHale and his staff, and the Adelman regime, and I have my own opinion about Adelman and his staff, and the McHale regime. And August can't end soon enough.

Absolutely - having a GB passport would mean an American could play in Europe and not count as a "foreigner" hence allowing a team to upgrade its roster without burning one of its roster spots for foreign (non EU passport holder) players. Its good for the player (access to more jobs) and good for the team (allows the team to build a higher quality roster) but bad for the development of local players (denies locals roster spots).

That said we haven't had a LOT of top quality players use GB as a stepping stone to a passport and careers with top European clubs afterwards. It is not seen as one of the easier countries to get a passport from (requiring a few years of residency) compared to some places such as Georgia which has been known to process passport applications to foreigners in as little as 48 hours.
