Wow, okay, its my 19th birthday and I've been studying for my comprehensive biology final all damn day long! This absolutely blows. I've been studying since pretty much 2 o clock this afternoon and I feel like I'm still going to bomb the damn test!!! Arrrrrgh, I hope I do alright...

For all of you college folks, I'm sure you have a lot of finals coming up, hopefully none of them are comprehensive like this test. 30 + damn chapter comprehenisve test in a GEN ED class ain't right, dammit. I'm not a biology major, screw the Punnet square!!!!

Anyways, I just wanted to vent...

UT's finals are next week. i find that in many cases i study for the final less than i do for individual tests in a class. i almost feel like i've already learned it all earlier and i just feel kinda burned out from the semester and end up not studying that much at all. but i gotta type a crapload of stuff into my calc for our EE final and i might have to do really really well (like 100) to get an A in reactor b/c it seems as though an A is gonna be right at the 90 cutoff instead of lower. i've never had a B, i don't want one now, but i'll live with it. i haven't exactly done much this semester. easily the slackingest semester of my life. b/t always having old hw's or copying them from other people, i almost do nothing until test time in classes and even then i don't seem to do much. i've been majoring in tv with a minor in bball this semester.

I lucked out and only have one actual final this semester, but I am knee deep in a research design and a HW for my poli sci that is due this week. I have a regular test tomorrow that I know I'm not ready for, but I can't take any more time to study. I just thinkg about 12:00 am on thursday, when I'll see X2, and then kick it back into gear. Good luck to you guys, I know I'll need it.

    Happy Birthday and Good Luck!

The only thing keeping me going is that I'm finally graduating in a week and a half. Then no more of this crap! WOOO---HOOOO!

EE 331 I'm assuming right? They've changed up the catalogs quite a bit, so they've done away with some classes. You're lucky to not be graduating this semester. The job market is completely dry.

I'm so glad I graduated in December.

While I have new stresses in my life, I love work and hated school.

I might have bills to pay, but I don't have to stay up to 3 a.m. and study anymore...I can stay up and watch Stargate SG1 :)

The job market is not that dry...I got recruited by 4 companies before taking a job.

    Guys,

    This is a joke right?

College and finals, you will never have it so easy again.

    12-15 hours a week for class.....come on.....

Once you get out of college, you will realize that it is the time in your life where you have the most free time...by far.

Think of it this way...all the summer means to me, is that it is hot when I go to work.

Finals are a very small price to pay for all that free time.

Oh, and good luck....it is a part of your permanent record.

so i hear. i remember around december someone saying only 7 of the 45 graduating people had jobs. essentially everyone that wanted an internship in my class this summer doesn't have one. i worked pretty much not at all to get an internship but everyone who checked ecac all the time kept mentioning that there were essentially no che jobs, only ee. i'll probably just chill this summer, as i did last summer and the one before. hopefully some real jobs are out there when i actually need the job, after graduation next spring.

and even though i haven't gotten to the workforce part of my life, i gotta agree with dadakota. i have so much free time right now it's insane. watch tv, play basketball, take naps, hangout with people is pretty much all i have to do with the occasional few hours of study thrown in every couple of weeks. i can't imagine it getting better when i actually have to show up for something 8 hours a day, no matter how much of it i waste at cc.net.

College life is great.... finals suck, but its only one or two weeks every 4 or so months where as work is a lifetime of suckage.

I actually like "real" life more than college. I like my job and my house and my wife and if I have to pay some bills that's OK.

I graduated last December, and I interviewed with some oil/gas companies such as Halliburton and Schlumberger. The others were Bechtel, Eastman/Kodak, and Microsoft. So it's not necessarily true that the EE guys are getting jobs. A bunch of guys who graduated with me are still looking for work. Lucky for me, I've got a job in Austin that lets me post on cc.net during my downtime. :)

Anyways, enjoy school while you can, because those are the best days of your life.
