    what's the story behind that?

Also I'd have to side with FF6. FF7 started out as one of the best, but lost a lot of steam after Tifa's hometown(nibelheim I think?).

The story behind what? The video? All I know is what is said on the page (that it is a recreation of the FF6 Opera scene using FFXI, done by some FF fans). That's all I know.

VII was amazing bc it was the first great RPG to have the great 3-D graphics but at the same time it brought in a bunch of people who never would've played RPGs otherwise. Many of them can't tell III from VI. It's sad really. VI was my favorite most definitely. I really would love remakes of IV and VI.

It's be nice if they'd release the newer FF games on X-Box. I only got the original PS bc of FF7. The new ones on PS2 were just as bad as FF8. All Japanimation hair and big swords. More good story, less "oooh look at all the pretty graphics. This must be a good game!" Pfffffft.

Final Fantasy 7 is easily my favorite but that is being said w/o playing any of before it. Its the first game that got me into RPGs and its prolly my favorite genre since. It says alot though, that I just traded FF7 in, and it got me $15. If you dont know, thats alot compared to the newer systems' games.

I loved Final Fantasy tactics as well.

FFVII was my favorite by far. I loved the fact that they released in on 9.7.97
I can tie so many memories tof that game to a point in my life. The graphics
storyline and most importantly Music were revolutionary. IMO no Rpg has came close to the greatness that was FFVII. If they could just make a good story again and give us the option of text instead of those stupid Voiceovers.

Thanks for the link, RC Cola.

I liked FF6 more than Chrono Trigger....

Yeah, I did too. Although I wouldn't mind a remake of CT either:

There was a fan remake of a couple of old King's Quest games. They were freeware so its not like they were making it for a profit and so didn't have any problems with Sierra. Why would it be any different for CT and Squaresoft? I guess the fact that the KQ series is pretty much dead could be one reason but...

I must say that I've played all the older Final Fantasies as well, and I do still like VII the best. VI was great and all, but I really just liked VII better.

You're all a bunch of dorks!

Seriously, I got into VII a few years ago, and was impressed. BTW, there are actually 6 previous iterations of the series. I'm on 5, now. Each one takes me about 6 months to finish because I'll take a lot of breaks between playing. But, FYI, I found all of the first 5 on emulators off the PC. Didn't cost me a dime to play any of them. And while, graphics-wise, they're pretty bad, some of the story lines are just as good as 7 or 10.

But, hell. Graphics can be overrated. I've also downloaded OLD rpg's from the Apple IIe and had fun playing those, as well. Especially Ali-Baba.
