I think it looks pretty dang cool from the trailers, and it doesn't show a whole lot which is nice...

But the plot could turn out to be so stupid that it falls flat. However...Ethan Hawke and Lena Headey joining the movie make me believe it'll be worthwhile.

At least it's unique, unlike all the freaking comic book remakes...

Looks really really stupid. One night a year all crime is legal? Wow, how creative and scary!

It seems this movie will primarily take place inside their home. If you're gonna make a movie about lawless crime, then why not show the chaos, anarchy and looting outside on the streets.

Between this and Hunger Games, I think I know what Caucasians felt like when those gang movies came out in the early '90s.

This film looks dumb as hell. There is no feasible scenario where something like this could possibly happen. At least in the Hunger Games they are killing each other for entertainment purposes. They aren't just barbaric individuals who commit crimes for fun.

Furthermore if i were in that situation, anyone that even comes near me is getting shot.

If this doesn't exceed Human Centipede, I am disappoint.

    (movie voice)
Once a year, it happens. No consequences. Absolute terror.
Yes, once a year, they build a human centipede as long as possible, with no consequences.

Pogroms and race-riots: the inverted ones from before the '50s, would indicate otherwise. And as most people: even gun-owners, don't play out gunfights in their head after a damn movie trailer, I'm guessing this flick isn't targeted towards you.

LMFAO did you really just question the likelihood of something like this happening, and then use the Hunger Games plot to back that up?

So it's about a white family saving a black dude, again?

Can't they save a little Filipino or Mongolian kid once in a while?

Obviously this is just austerity in action. Shutting down government services for 12 hours = balanced budget.

Isn't average police response time to such crimes around 12 hours?

I don't see why this movie would be anything other than crap.

Horror seems to be the movie genre that produces the fewest good results, as far as I know.

interesting, going to call it now, one of those masked people will be revealed at the end of the movie and reveal a cameo from some well known actor/actress, which is the reason I'm staying away from IMDB....

btw, Lena Headey looks freaking hot....
