I'm thinking about getting a subscription to either FHM or Maxim. They are really cheap, under 5 dollars for a year's subscription at www.budgetmags.com I may end up just getting both, but I still wanted to see which one you guys think is the better magazine and why.

You can get them both for free. Just keep an eye out on the various bargain web sites.

I get them both for free and they suck ass. I use them for bathroom reading material b/c I read my good magazines for lesiure (SI, TSN, Forbes, etc.)

Don't waste your time. Stuff, Maxim, FHM....they're all terrible. I signed up for one of those free subscriptions years ago and I'm still getting them. It's just a few pages of hot chicks and the rest are idiot writers' horrible attempts at trying to be witty and clever.

Seriously, these are the worst magazines ever.

Cool thanks for the info. There are other magazines I may get from there, such as Popular Science, Newsweek, Psychology Today...., but first I'm going to look on the bargain websites as drapg suggested. Thanks for the input.

Yeah I had been hearing that Maxim has been going downhill for quite sometime now, that would explain the price drop i guess.

    Don't pay for them.

    Get free subscriptions.

I get FHM, Stuff, and Maxim for free. They are pretty good Toiletry reading.

I get both of 'em free, as well as Stuff.

If I were you, I'd look online for a free subscription.

That said, they're all the same magazine. The same chicks pose for 'em, they do similar reviews on the same products. Same article topics. Maybe it's 'cause I've gotten it longest, but I think I prefer FHM, then Maxim, then Stuff.

I get FHM, Maxim, Stuff, Blender, Giant, PC Mag, Pc Buyer, Cargo, TV Guide, USA Today, Sporting News and Sports Illustrated all for free

FHM, Maxim and Stuff are basically the same thing with different pictures..the articles are pretty much crap but the pictures are nice

if your getting it just for the pics then get the free subs like me

I mean that in all seriousness.

I currently have a free 6 month gift subscription for the print edition of the Economist. Any Capitalist pigs want it? I don't want it going to waste though - You must read it.

go to www.fatwallet.com. click on forums. click on free stuff. if there's a free sub to a mag, it'll be on there.

as for FHM or Maxim...who can tell the difference anymore? During my early college years I thought Maxim was head and shoulders better than FHM or Stuff. But lately, eh.

My advice: find 20 bucks and get a 4 year sub to GQ and a 4 year sub to Men's Health.

I found a link for Golf Magazine awhile back on FatWallet. It just started arriving a few weeks ago. I had forgotten that I had even signed up for it so it was a nice surprise.

Tonight I found a link for Giant magazine.

    www.freebizmag.com

If you are clever enough and fill out your job description just right, you'll be surprised at what great magazines will be arriving at your door.

Honestly, I think they may be published by the same people. It is either Maxim/Stuff or Maxim/FHM that have some of the exact same stories and pictures in the same month.
