OK, so I'm at work and I'm really bored, so I'm going to start a column on the FBB.

Today's topic: The first week of the FBB has finished with quite a few suprises.

Are new teams and rookies emerging as potential powerhouses in the fourth season of the cc.net FBB sim? Are some youth filled teams disappointing yet again? Will the Bateaux Ivre be able to defend their title? The answer to all of these questions seems to be a big YES. Perhaps the two most suprising team of the season so far have been the Orlando Magic and the Minnesota Timberwolves for two entirely different reasons. The Magic, the best regular season team in the history of FBB have stumbled out of the gate at 1-4 giving up a whopping 121.6 points per game up to their opponents. On the other side of the spectrum, the Minnesota Timberwolves have started out 3-0 after finishing tied for the worst record in the third season of FBB. The biggest difference between the two seasons for the Timberpups seems to be the turnaround in offensive output per game, where the Wolves have gone from 92 ppg in the third season to 127 ppg after the first week of games. So far, many rookies have exceeded the wildest dreams of even the most demanding general managers and coaches, while others leave GMs scratching their head and pondering why they drafted such a raw project. So far, rookies such as Carmelo Anthony of the New York Knicks, Marcus Haislip of the Golden State Warriors, Melvin Ely of the Cleveland Cavaliers and the combination of Nickloz Tskitishivili and Sebastien Telfair from the Minnesota Timberwolves have all made strong cases to become FBBrookie of the year. Once again the Central Division appears to be the most competitive division in the FBB with the Chicago Bulls, Paris Bateaux Ivre, Cleveland Cavs, New Orleans Hornets, Indiana Pacers and Detroit Pistons all
having .500 or better winning percentages. Despite strong performances by several young players, the San Antonio Spurs already seem to be disappointing many of their fans and leaving them with nothing to look foward to but next years draft. After having several high lottery picks in the FBB drafts and nabbing Jermaine O'Neal, one of the most coveted free agents in FBB history, many expected the Spurs to be competing for the Midwest Division crown this season, but it appears as if the youth movement in San Antonio has hit a brick wall.

While only the first week has been completed in the fourth season of FBB, it seems as if there are some great new superstars looking to make a name, but have the just been on a lucky hot streak or will their good fortune continue? Check back next week for another edition of FBB Notes .

I want to make a FBB note... All of those that scoffed at my signing of Don Reid please go to the site and look at his numbers(also check out who is leading the league in RPG). Thank you very little.

Castor--I almost included a section about free agents where I was gonna mention Reid, but I wanted to save something for the next sim. :)

I can make a weekly newsletter, as in every 7 days, real time.
I've got a free summer to work with and i'm already giving 50% of my daily effort working on my team.

Let me know if you think this can become a well worth experience and effort.
